A Halo Infinite player has shown off a ridiculous clip, involving them getting two double collateral headshots, one after the other. While Halo Infinite doesn't have the same amount of players as it did at launch, there's still plenty around to get incredible moments like this.
Multiplayer has long been a staple of the Halo franchise, with it being credited for the early success of Xbox Live when it launched over two decades. To this day, gamers are continuing to enjoy the franchise, after 343 Industries took over from Bungie back in 2012. It hasn't been smooth sailing for the developer, with each of its titles coming in for their own fair share of criticism. Halo Infinite multiplayer continues to suffer from serious desync problems, which have plagued the game since launch, and have continued throughout the launch of the recent Season 3.
The clip was posted to Reddit by user MazingerZERO, who was playing on the new Halo Infinite Season 3 map Chasm. In the video, the player gets back-to-back collateral sniper kills as the spawns line up perfectly for them, in one of the craziest clips from the game to date. Over the years, there has always been something unique about the Halo sandbox that very few multiplayer titles are able to compare to, even with Halo's change in the developer. This video perfectly illustrates why that's the case, with Jeff Steitzer's iconic voice lines continuing to narrate the madness of every act in the game.
Others in the thread struggled to hide their feelings about the incredible kills, with one describing the clip as "tasty." Halo's iconic rifle has provided gamers with some iconic moments across the decades, and this one is definitely an instant classic. While Halo Infinite's co-op campaign remains a great way to enjoy Halo with friends, there's truly nothing like jumping into a multiplayer game and killing some Spartans.
It's great that Halo remains a titan in the multiplayer space. It has always felt like a constant in the gaming industry ever since it burst onto the scene, and it wouldn't feel the same without it. While small innovations have been made to the core gameplay loop with every game, it still remains distinctly Halo, and deserves credit for sticking to its roots in an industry where that is becoming increasingly hard for games to do. 343 Industries continues to provide patches for Halo Infinite, and hopefully the great content will continue in Season 4 and beyond.
Halo Infinite is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
