That means that players have until then to wipe the prior day's "complete any match" challenges off of the board, earning the maximum possible amount of XP that they can. Even taking the time to complete 3 or 4 matches a day before Halo Infinite's daily reset time can have a big impact on Battle Pass progression.

For example, even players that only have time to play every other day can maximize their gains by playing at around 9 AM PST, or an hour before the timer resets in their time zone. From there, they can knock out a few matches before Halo Infinite resets, then play a few more to maximize their XP gains in a single day. Plus, players are bound to complete a few other challenges alongside that. Coupled with a double XP boost, it's possible to earn a lot of Battle Pass levels in a short period.

What Halo Infinite's Daily Reset Does

While it's fairly self-explanatory, Halo Infinite's daily reset is essentially a light refresh. While most items in the shop last for an entire week, there is a daily slot that will be swapped out, typically with inexpensive options compared to the pricier item bundles. That gives players a longer window to buy interesting cosmetics like Halo Infinite' s cat ears, while also keeping things fresh day-to-day. All in all, it's a standard system, the type that players have come to expect from free-to-play titles.

Balancing playtime with reset times can be important for those that take Halo Infinite semi-seriously. As the season presses on, there will likely be even more cause to check out what's new each and every day. That's especially true for limited-run events, like the current Winter Contingency, which emphasizes players logging in each day. Hopefully, the scheduling isn't too demanding for casual players.
