While progressing further through the Hades 2 story and discover new locations, Melinoe will learn more new spells and rituals, some of which will require Wool. Many may be surprised that such a simple material is not in their inventory, but this is merely because sheep are not the most common inhabitants in the Underworld and on the surface. However, one big guy knows their habitat because he constantly wears the sheepskin on his back.

To obtain Wool in Hades 2, players must overcome several bosses and reach the City of Ephyra on the surface. But even after this, you will have to fight again for the right to get just a piece of Wool.

Where To Find Wool in Hades 2

The only way to get Wool in Hades 2 is to defeat Polyphemus, a big cyclops you will meet on the outskirts of the City of Ephyra. This area is the first place you will come to after you get to the surface, but this is just the beginning. Firstly, Melinoe's curse will prevent you from staying on the surface long enough to reach the boss. And secondly, you must fulfill a time-consuming condition before leaving the city's central part. In general, here is the entire path that will allow you to get Wool in Hades 2:

Do a few runs until you unlock the Permeation of Witching-Wards incantation and can go to the surface.
Go to the surface several times and die due to the curse until Moros appears and teaches you the Fateful Bond incantation. It will allow you to survive on the surface and move on to the next step.
Once back on the surface and through the first few screens, you will find yourself in the middle of the city square near the fountain, surrounded by nine points of interest. You must visit at least six such locations and destroy one spirit prison in each.
Having fulfilled this condition, the exit from the city, guarded by six Pylons, will open, and you can go straight to Polyphemus.

Although here is far from the most powerful boss in Hades 2, Polyphemus' melee attacks are relatively deadly, and when his health is running low, he begins to summon annoying minions. Consider using a ranged build, or be prepared to do a lot of dodging. However, once you win, you will receive the desired Wool. You can sell it, use it to unlock the Shrines of Hermes on the surface, or improve relationships with Animal Familiars.
