With the Olympic Update, Hades 2 now includes a completely new region: Mount Olympus. This new region brings with it everything you'd expect, including new reagents, greeneries, and other important crafting and upgrade materials. Olives are included in these new materials, which are mostly used for the new Incantations from the Olympic Update. This guide will show players where to find Olive Branches in Hades 2, and how to get Olives from them.
Hades 2: All Animal Companions (& How To Unlock, Upgrade, And Use Them)
Gaining a Familiar in Hades 2 is a game changing accomplishment that can help you through your treacherous journey.
How to Get Olive Branches in Hades 2
Before leaving the Crossroads for a surface run, make sure to prioritize Hades 2's Silver Spade. This will ensure that you see Seed Mounds on your climb to the top of Mount Olympus.
Olive Branches are one of several new items that players will find on Mount Olympus, the region added through Hades 2's Olympic Update. Using the Silver Spade, players must dig up Olive Branches from the typical mounds that contain seeds.
These mounds will always contain Olive Branches on Mount Olympus. New players will want to look for small patches of bare earth, sparking with a small flicker of light. When you claim a chamber's reward, make sure to listen for the audio cue that alerts Melinoe to any resources in the chamber, as seed mounds are easier to miss than most.
How to Reach Mount Olympus:
New players unsure of how to reach Mount Olympus must first progress through Hades 2's early sections, eventually unlocking the 'Unraveling a Fateful Bond' incantation at the Cauldron. This will allow you to begin surface runs whenever you want. Mount Olympus is the third surface region, after the City of Ephyra and the Rift of Thessaly.
How to Get Olives in Hades 2
Once you have collected Olive Branches from Mount Olympus, you will need to return to the garden at the Crossroads to plant them. Each Olive Tree will take 24 encounters to grow, and will produce one Olive for Melinoe.
Most players will think of completing Encounters as completing each chamber you encounter on a run. This is true, but it is not the only way to tick off Encounters at the Cauldron or Garden. Special interactions with characters, such as visiting the Hot Springs or Fishing, will all take time. Check each character at the Crossroads to see if they are available for these encounters. Completing Chaos Trials at the Pitch-Black Stone will also pass time.
