All New Cauldron Incantations in Hades 2 Warsong Update

Updated February 27, 2025, by Christopher Norman W. – With the release of the Warsong Update, those players taking part in Early Access will find a wide range of new content to explore in Hades 2. This guide update will add all four new Incantations from Warsong to our complete list, and show you what you'll need to craft them at the Crossroads Cauldron.

While Hades 2 brings back several mechanics from the original game, there are several key elements that are either completely new, or revamped and updated. The original Hades had the Mirror of Night and the House Contractor, locations where the bulk of the game's important customization and upgrades were accomplished. Hades 2 introduces entirely new locations for these mechanics, though it stays true to the spirit of the original. Here, Melinoë now utilizes the Cauldron to unlock many of the same types of items and upgrades. This uses a new mechanic known as Incantations.

Hades 2's Incantations are used to build up and introduce many of the game's important mechanics and locations. Through Incantations, Melinoë will gain access to everything from gardening plots and fishing spots, to the hidden aspects of her Nocturnal Arms. This guide will reveal the complete list of every Incantation in Hades 2, including both their recipes, and what they conjure up.

Hades 2 is currently in Early Access. This means that large sections of the game could possibly change before the official 1.0 release. This guide will collect the most current information, and will be updated if any changes are revealed.

All New Warsong Update Incantations in Hades 2

Along with adding four new Incantations, the Warsong Update has made the following adjustments to these the following Incantations that were already in the game:

Deathly Fortune: This is now introduced later in the game, and allows only Fish to be traded for bones. Some plats could previously be traded as well.
Psychic Slivers of Clarity:Completely removed due to the changes made to resource management.
Bones of Arcane Wisdom: This was formerly Bones of Burnished Bronze, which gave armor whenever you found Bones. Now, you receive an increase to Magick.

All New Olympic Update Incantations in Hades 2

There are ten new Crossroads Cauldron incantations in the Olympic Update for Hades 2. This new update adds Mount Olympus, an entirely new surface region for Melinoe to explore. Given that Hades 2 is a roguelike, it should not be surprising that many of these incantations will not be available immediately. Instead, you will have to continue your journey to make them available. For those players who have already completed much or all of the available content in the game, you will find several new incantations waiting for you when you start the game.

There are currently two types of Incantations in Hades 2: Basic Incatations, and Alchemy Recipe Incatations. This guide will create two separate lists representing each type.

Incantations:

Approach the Cauldron at the Crossroads to see your available Incantations. Whenever you have the required materials to complete a recipe, the Cauldron will have the special exclamation mark symbol that depicts important events or updates. Check the list on the left to see what is available.

Players can collect Keepsakes by befriending NPCs in Hades 2, which will grant them different bonuses. These are the best ones in the game.

Alchemy Incantations:

In Hades 2, Alchemy is used to create special items that are usually used in many of the most important Incantations. Unlike the basic Incantations, Alchemy is not completed instantly. Instead, each recipe will require a specific amount of time to brew. Just like growing plants, there will be a symbol on the Cauldron that depicts the amount of time left before completion. The number shown represents the number of locations that must be completed before the recipe is ready. Players can also try finding someone to pass the time with. Check the Book of Shadows to see which characters are ready to go to the Hot Springs, fishing, or the Taverna. These activities all pass time without starting a new run.
