Rockstar Games has released a new weekly update for Grand Theft Auto Online, adding a brand-new game mode that has 4X rewards for GTA+ members and 2X GTA$ and RP for all other players. The latest Grand Theft Auto Online update is live now for all users, and also brings a plethora of increased payouts to other modes and some big discounts to a variety of different vehicles.
Last month, Rockstar released the massive new Money Fronts update for Grand Theft Auto Online. As the name implies, the content update was all about using new businesses, such as the Hands On Car Wash, to launder money from other illicit dealings. The update added three new businesses for players to purchase, a variety of new vehicles and clothing items, fresh missions, property upgrades, and much more. With Grand Theft Auto 6 on the horizon, this may have been one of GTA Online's final updates. Thankfully, support for the popular live service game is still ongoing, and its latest update is available now with a new mode for players to check out.
Rumor: GTA 6 May Include a Popular Feature From NFL 2K5
A new rumor claims the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 will introduce a new feature to the series that is similar to one found in ESPN NFL 2K5.
On July 24, Rockstar released another weekly update for Grand Theft Auto Online. According to a new blog post by the studio, the latest update adds a new game mode known as Cayo Perico Motor Wars, which Rockstar describes as a "tropical twist on the classic mode." For the next two weeks, the new mode will be paying out 2X GTA$ and RP for all players, and 4X for those who are subscribed to GTA+. The mode drops players into one of six fast-shrinking areas that force them into a fight. GTA Online players will take to the skies, control the roads, or stalk the underbrush in this new mode, which comes with an arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and shifting tactical opportunities.
Rockstar Games has also revealed a plethora of discounts on numerous different vehicles. Unfortunately, there aren't any discounts on the vehicles added with GTA Online's Money Fronts update, but players can get 40% off the Grotti Visione, Vapid Dominator GT, Pfister Neon, and many more. While the new mode and discounts are a part of Grand Theft Auto Online's latest weekly update, fans do have another big patch to look forward to later this year. Although it hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar as of writing, recent data mines and leaks revealed that the studio is working on bringing purchasable mansions to Grand Theft Auto Online later this year. With the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 set for May 26, 2026, there's a strong chance that Grand Theft Auto Online's December update will be its last, but Rockstar is seemingly intending to go out with a bang.
GTA Online July 24 Update Patch Notes
