Grand Theft Auto Online has received several updates since its launch. There's always something new to do in the city of Los Santos and its desert outskirts. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game finally added wildlife to the multiplayer portion of the game. Now you can see cats in the alleys of the city and coyotes in the desert. The Chop Shop update added a daily challenge where you can photograph this wildlife for cash rewards. Pugs can be one of the hardest animals to find. Los Santos Tourism Board
You need to accept the Photography Challenge from the Los Santos Tourist Board to begin your search. You can physically go to this board located on the highway up towards Paleto Bay. It will appear as a purple icon on your map and minimap. Walk up to it and press right on the D-Pad to receive the list of the current day's sought after animals.
If you are not near the board and don't want to travel to it, you can open your phone. You should receive an email from the tourist board as soon as you start up a multiplayer free roam session. Access the email to conveniently receive the list of animals. You can refer to the list as you check them off. There will only be three animals that you can photograph per daily challenge. You will receive $20,000 for each animal and $40,000 for completing all three.
Photographing your first animal will unlock the Park Ranger SUV for purchase in the Warstock Cache & Carry website store. Finding three animals will get you a unique outfit that looks similar to Ace Ventura's shirt from the movie.
Pug Locations
Pugs can only be found in the city of Los Santos. They won't be out if it's raining and will only be around during the day. You will most likely find one in the western part of the city in such areas as Richman, Vespucci Beach, and Rockford Hills. Pugs will sometimes be found being walked by their owners around the Richman golf course and along the beach.
The best place to find a pug is in Rockford Hills near the Ponsonbys clothing store. Get out of your car and walk around the block a few times to get it to show up.
Stick to the streets with the clothing store, barber shop, and Luxury Autos showroom. It should appear calmly sitting near one of the stores. Pugs won't run away as long as you don't bother them. They can have black or vanilla fur. Pull out your phone and make sure to get a clear picture of the pug to get your reward.
