Grand Theft Auto Online players are going to want to mark June 17 on their calendars, as Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that the Money Fronts update will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC next week. The highly anticipated summer update for Grand Theft Auto Online will once again be completely free and will bring some fresh businesses, vehicles, missions, and more for players to get their hands on.
Despite the fact that the multiplayer title is now almost twelve years old, Grand Theft Auto Online continues to receive new updates every few months. While fans only have a few days left to go until the Money Fronts update is released, the last major piece of content came as part of the Agents of Sabotage update, which was released in December 2024. It included a new Garment Factory business, updates to the Terrorbyte, new vehicles, plenty of quality-of-life updates, and more. For those who have been patiently waiting for news on a new update, the wait is finally over, as Rockstar Games has pulled back the curtain on the big summer update for Grand Theft Auto Online.
Take-Two Comments on GTA 6 Skipping PC
Take-Two Interactive CEO addresses GTA 6 skipping PC at launch and shares a confident outlook on the current console landscape.
In a new blog post on the Rockstar Games website, the studio has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto Online: Money Fronts will be released on Tuesday, June 17, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The free update will once again allow Grand Theft Auto Online players to expand their businesses, this time by purchasing "iconic local businesses" to use them as a money laundering front for the various other illicit dealings in the game. Players will enlist the help of Martin Madrazo, who will connect them with new advisors to help players accumulate new business ventures and launder their dirty money while also infusing their accounts with legitimate income.
When Is the GTA Online Summer Update for 2025?
- Grand Theft Auto Online's Money Fronts update will be released on Tuesday, June 17.
Money Fronts will allow players to purchase the famous Hands On Car Wash as their entry point into the world of money laundering, which will act as the perfect vintage facade for players to conceal their illegal activities. "This low-profile and cash-intensive business is prosperous enough without alerting the authorities, and serves as the heart of your new money laundering operation," Rockstar Games said. The studio further explains that owning the Car Wash will bring in passive income from the players' established criminal network. Two supplemental fronts, the Smoke on the Water dispensary and Higgins Helitours, will also be available for purchase and will boost earnings for Grand Theft Auto Online's Weed Farm and Air Freight Cargo.
As the next Grand Theft Auto Online update is once again set to add plenty of new content to the game, it will hopefully keep fans busy as they continue to wait for the release of the next entry in the series. While it was initially supposed to launch in Fall 2025, Rockstar Games shared disappointing news last month as it announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 had been delayed. The highly anticipated title will now launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 26, 2026.
