How to Use a Parachute in GTA Online

GTA 5 is available for multiple devices, so the process of activating a parachute is different for each platform.

PlayStation

When players are on a helicopter or plane, the parachute is automatically equipped. When they jump out, they will be prompted to deploy their parachute. Pressing “X” deploys the parachute, and diving can be controlled with the left analog stick, just like walking.

Slowing down is important for a smooth landing. To leave a smoke trail, all players need to do is press and hold the X button.

Xbox

Once players have jumped from a tall building, plane, or helicopter, they will have to press “A” to deploy the parachute. Movement and speed can be controlled with the left analog stick. When players want to land, they need to press both the RB and LB buttons simultaneously to slow down and land safely. To leave a smoke trail, players should press and hold “A.”

PC

Pressing the F key or the left mouse button will deploy the parachute when the player jumps from a tall place. To control the speed, use “W” to speed up and S to slow down. Similarly, the “A” and “D” keys are used to turn left and right, respectively. If players want to make a hard right or left, they’d use the “Q” and “E” keys. When players are about to land, they will need to press and hold the Shift key to slow down and land on their feet.

How to Get a Parachute in GTA 5

There are a few ways players can find a parachute in GTA 5. One way is to buy it from Ammu-Nation, but keep in mind that this option unlocks only after completing the Minor Turbulence mission. Apart from that, parachutes can be found on the roof of tall buildings like Maze Bank. Lastly, players can also use cheat codes to get a parachute.
