Grand Theft Auto 5 developer Rockstar Games has announced a new End of Summer Giveaway for Grand Theft Auto Online, giving fans the opportunity to bag up to GTA$2,000,000. The special end-of-summer event is live in Grand Theft Auto Online now until September 17, with a plethora of in-game bonuses, discounts, 2x rewards on select missions and races, and much more.
With Grand Theft Auto 6 on the horizon, the future of Grand Theft Auto Online remains unclear. Rumors suggest Rockstar intends to release a follow-up to its smash-hit live service title, but what that means for the fate of the current iteration remains unknown. The good news, however, is that there's still some life left in the old girl, as Rockstar still regularly updates Grand Theft Auto Online with plenty of new content. While the last major patch came back in June with the Money Fronts update, weekly updates have remained consistent, with new vehicles, discounts, and more added to the game regularly.

GTA Online Reveals End of Summer Giveaway
The end of summer may be upon us, but Rockstar Games is keeping the fun going with a brand-new giveaway that is once again giving Grand Theft Auto Online players the chance to get some free in-game money. However, there is a catch that fans should be aware of. In total, there's GTA$2,000,000 up for grabs. While the first million can be obtained by all players simply by logging into Grand Theft Auto Online anytime between now and September 17, the second million can only be obtained by subscribing to GTA+.
For those who might be unaware, Rockstar Games launched the controversial GTA+ subscription service back in 2022. Fans looking to get their hands on the benefits offered by GTA+ will need to fork out $7.99 a month. Subscribers will then receive a wide variety of benefits, including GTA$500,000 every month, exclusive discounts and vehicles, an extra spin on the daily wheel, access to the Vinewood Club Garage, free in-game abilities, and much more. Rockstar has even recently been adding older titles, such as Bully and Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, to the service.
The latest giveaway comes shortly after a new Grand Theft Auto Online update added a free car for players to obtain. On August 14, a new weekly update added the Declasse Drift Walton L35 as part of the continued Money Fronts content dripfeed. The vehicle would usually set players back a total of $1,403,750, but it's currently free to claim until August 28. The only catch, however, is that players must be a part of the LS Car Meet to obtain the Declasse Drift Walton L35.
