Even after 10 years, GTA Online remains a money-making powerhouse for Rockstar and Take-Two, thanks in large part to a population of players that continues to appear in huge numbers. To help keep these players logging in, Rockstar continues to keep GTA Online updated with new content on a constant basis, sometimes adding new gear, game modes, and mechanics on a limited time basis.
With most online, live-service-style games, holidays are a common real world event that developers can lean into to add new content for players. GTA Online has a long history with seasonal style updates, such as the most recent one for the Holiday seasons, bringing back snow, snowmen, and other items typically associated with that time of the year. However, with its latest update announcement, Rockstar is embracing the February holidays by revealing a variety of new content coming to all players starting this week.
Is GTA Online Worth Playing in 2024?
Grand Theft Auto Online is Rockstar's biggest running title, but its longevity may be worth questioning over a decade after release.
Over on the Rockstar Newswire, GTA Online players received a wealth of information on all the new rewards and cosmetics coming to the popular online title. Starting with the Lunar New Year, GTA Online players can pick up two new dragon masks, a Regal and Midnight version. Players who may have missed out on recently added collectibles, namely the Wooden Dragon Mask, Red Lunar New Year Dress, and Black Lunar New Year Tee, will have another chance to unlock this. Finally, any player that logs in between now and Feb 14 will also get a Red Envelope gift of GTA$188,888 that is delivered right to their Maze Bank account within 72 hours.

While the shortest month of the year, February has even more holidays to celebrate, like Valentine's Day. While GTA Online is no stranger to previous Valentine's related updates, this year will reward players who log in from now until Feb 14 with Red and Yellow heart shades.
