Grand Theft Auto fans are asking Rockstar to bring back a popular feature from San Andreas to Grand Theft Auto 6, asking for gyms to be added. The release of a new Grand Theft Auto game is always one of the biggest stories within the gaming industry, and Grand Theft Auto 6 looks to be no different. The game has received a massive amount of hype from fans since Rockstar finally confirmed the sequel, despite the launch date still being 10 months away. Now, some fans want a popular feature from San Andreas to make a comeback.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas broke new ground for the open-world franchise when it first released in 2004. San Andreas was the first game in the franchise to add bicycles as a vehicle, alongside the first game allowing players to swim. San Andreas also added plenty of new mini-games and side content to the game, with players able to eat at restaurants, go to the gym, and compete in "Lowrider Challenges" among others. One particular mini-game is now seeing several requests to come to Grand Theft Auto 6.

Grand Theft Auto 5 never got an increasingly popular console feature, but Rockstar ought to take another crack at it with Grand Theft Auto 6.

A post to the GTA subreddit by Reddit user Puzzleheaded-Pin-375 is asking Rockstar to bring back the gym mini-game from San Andreas. Within Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, players could visit the gym to work out on various machines, allowing players to increase CJ's stamina. Gyms in San Andreas also featured a variety of different machines players could use with different mini-games, including biking and weight-lifting. Gyms were notably absent in Grand Theft Auto 5, with the fan asking Rockstar to bring gyms back in GTA 6.

Grand Theft Auto Fans Want Gyms Added to GTA 6

The comments saw mixed reactions to the idea, with some fans asking for GTA 6 to add back gyms and others criticizing the associated mini-game. Some fans pointed out that Rockstar may already be planning to add gyms to Grand Theft Auto 6's story mode, based on trailers for the game. Others suggested that Rockstar could look to enhance gyms in GTA 6, potentially lending to increased stats for unarmed fights and increased HP. Most detractors of the idea claimed the mini-games were tedious, often devolving to mashing single buttons.

Grand Theft Auto 6 looks to be bringing plenty to the table for fans with its highly-anticipated release next year. Leaks from the game have already started to hint at a variety of features coming with GTA 6, ranging from customizable music to one-handed shooting. A recent job listing from Rockstar also suggests that the developer may put a major focus on user-generated content in GTA 6, potentially giving players more freedom to create within the game. GTA 6 stands as one of the most highly-anticipated games in the world and will likely remain so until its launch.
