- Grand Theft Auto 6 fans believe the earbuds will allow players to listen to music while outside of a vehicle.
Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are speculating on a new gameplay feature after seeing wireless earbuds multiple times throughout the game's second trailer. The Grand Theft Auto series is well-known for its iconic music and radio stations, but after seeing earbuds multiple times in the most recent Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, fans believe a new feature will allow players to listen to music and radio stations on the go.
On May 6, Rockstar Games shocked fans by finally releasing a second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. After more than 500 days of silence from the studio, fans were finally given more information on the highly anticipated title, including plot details, character information, and over 70 new screenshots. Grand Theft Auto 6 will take fans back to the neon-kissed streets of Vice City, following the story of Jason and Lucia, who find themselves "on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America" after an easy score goes horribly wrong.

The latest batch of Grand Theft Auto 6 information shed more light on Lucia, with her links to Liberty City having some clear gameplay potential.
GTA 6 Fans Speculate On New Spotify-Like System
While Grand Theft Auto 6's second trailer features plenty of throwbacks to the iconic GTA Vice City, there are also plenty of modern-day references and easter eggs. One thing that stood out to fans was the multiple shots of Lucia wearing wireless earbuds throughout the trailer, as eagle-eyed viewers such as Synth Potato believe it could be hinting at a possible new gameplay feature. If the earbuds are usable in-game and not just a customization option, it could allow players to listen to music and radio stations on the go. Previous Grand Theft Auto titles have only allowed players to listen to radio stations while inside a vehicle.
For now, this remains pure speculation, and it could be quite some time until we get confirmation on whether such a feature exists. While fans are absolutely loving the game's second trailer, Rockstar Games shared some unfortunate news last week when it announced Grand Theft Auto 6 had been delayed to 2026. The studio was previously targeting a Fall 2025 release date for the title, but is now aiming to ship the title on May 26, 2026.
In a new statement posted to the studio's Twitter account, Rockstar Games said the goal of every title they develop is to "exceed expectations," and Grand Theft Auto 6 is no exception. The studio explained that it needed the extra time to deliver the level of quality fans "expect and deserve."
While the delay is bad news for fans, the game's second trailer has given gamers plenty to get excited about. Alongside the new trailer, Rockstar Games has also revealed plenty of other information surrounding the next installment in the GTA series, including all of the major areas for Grand Theft Auto 6, such as Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, and many more.
