Rockstar Games has highlighted six major areas that will be featured in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. After the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 1 all the way back in December 2023, Rockstar went almost radio silent on the new game. GTA fans had to wait well over a year before they finally saw GTA 6 Trailer 2, but the release of the new trailer has opened the floodgates.

GTA 6 Trailer 2 was followed by Rockstar sharing all kinds of exciting details and screenshots about the game. Considering how much time GTA fans spent going over the first trailer, it's safe to say that they will be kept plenty busy by the fresh wave of screenshots and details. Among all the fresh information that Rockstar has been revealing about the game are descriptions and screenshots of some of its major areas.

The new GTA 6 screenshots highlight important locations in the game, like the iconic Vice City, the Leonida Keys, the Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga. It's clear that GTA 6's Leonida will have a great deal of variety, with players able to explore busy cities and breathtaking wilderness. You never know what lies beneath the surface of this primordial expanse. The gators may be the most famous attraction, but there are far deadlier predators and weirder discoveries among the mangroves.

A national landmark up against the state’s northern border, Mount Kalaga offers prime hunting, fishing, and off-road trails. In the lush surrounding backwoods, hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals live far from the prying eyes of the government.

The screenshots of Grand Theft Auto 6's various locations were joined by a large batch of images highlighting the game's characters. The GTA 6 character screenshots highlight playable protagonists Jason and Lucia, but also reveal some of the other characters that will be featured in the game's story. It will be interesting to see which characters show up where in Grand Theft Auto 6's world. Unfortunately, Grand Theft Auto fans have to wait more than a year to find out.

Rockstar Games recently made the tough decision to delay GTA 6's release date from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026. There is still a lot to reveal about the game between now and then - like full-blown gameplay and its online mode - so fans will have to stay tuned for more information between now and then.
