An old, accurate Grand Theft Auto 6 leak may have just revealed a second location never seen before in Rockstar Games' most popular franchise. The Grand Theft Auto series has been running for several decades now, seeing its initial installment all the way back in 1997. Over the years, fans have been able to see various locations that either draw inspiration from or are direct adaptations of American cities, with the immersive storylines often impacted majorly by these settings. With Grand Theft Auto 6 on the way, and confirmed to return players to a more modern version of Vice City, the thought on the mind of many fans is whether this will be the only location the huge open-world title will take place in.
Despite the fact that some GTA 6 fans think official news is coming soon, many fans have taken it upon themselves to scour the online archives for any prior leaks regarding this mammoth release and see if they hold any truth. Many old leaks seem to have lost all credibility as the years go by, with the information they contain either never having been true or simply coming from a time in development that has been moved past and discarded. Contrary to these, there is one leak that seems to have aged gracefully and perhaps hints at what fans are in store for upon the eventual release of GTA 6.

GTA 6 Leak May Have Just Revealed Cuba as a New Location
This Twitter post details an old leak from 2016 by an anonymous developer who accurately revealed many things, most interesting of all being that GTA 6 may also take place in Cuba. The leak stated that the male protagonist would smuggle drugs, the female protagonist is your contact in the States, but most interesting of all, the game would be set in Florida and Cuba. When you combine the claims that the leak has gotten correct so far, the leaker being responsible for accurately confirming a Red Dead Redemption 2 plot leak two years before that game released, and the fact that Rockstar confirmed the GTA 6 setting is a lot bigger than just Vice City, perhaps there is some truth to GTA 6 having Cuba as a location after all.
Having an extra location wouldn't be a shock for the Grand Theft Auto series, with most of the games in the franchise having more than one playable location. Even the debut title allowed players to explore Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City, albeit in a top-down 2D style, with GTA: San Andreas matching the three locations with its own: Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas. Rockstar has built a reputation on creating large-scale worlds for players to fully immerse themselves in the criminal world within, and a huge part of this is down to the many locations able to be explored. Take into consideration the fact that Rockstar might be gearing up to drop the next GTA 6 trailer soon, and it may be known sooner rather than later if Cuba is a playable location in GTA 6.
Fans have maintained their high hopes for GTA 6, and having Cuba as a playable location would certainly be huge news for any fans of the Grand Theft Auto series. Although returning locations are great for throwbacks and fan service, new locations are what give each title a unique identity. With every character revealed for GTA 6 so far maintaining the complex and compelling series standard, it seems, regardless of setting or not, GTA 6 will hopefully capture the same magic that brought so many to the series initially.
