A YouTube and TikTok content creator decided he was fed up with waiting for news regarding Grand Theft Auto 6, and flew to Scotland to find developers to demand answers about the game. The unusual move has drawn many negative responses from the GTA 6 community, and is another instance of game developers being harassed over games they're working on or have worked on.

GTA 6 fans have indeed been waiting for the game for a very long time. Concerns have recently arisen regarding the possibility of GTA 6 being delayed yet again, which has considerably frustrated some fans, given it's been over 12 years since GTA 5 initially launched. Nonetheless, many have stated that this content creator's actions aren't warranted, and are unacceptable.

Content Creator Harasses GTA 6 Devs on the Street

Content creator backonboulevard decided to take matters into his own hands in his pursuit of answers, and got on a plane to Scotland to go to the Rockstar North studio, claiming he was "sick and tired of waiting for answers." Some of the video he shared seems fairly innocuous, with him recording the front of the studio from a respectable distance. However, what really bothered fans was that he went out of his way to harass developers who were on the street, coming and going from the studio.

In the shared footage, one developer crosses the street to get away from backonboulevard, claiming he doesn't know anything after being bombarded with questions about the third GTA 6 trailer or delays. A second, however, looks extremely startled as backonboulevard seemingly sprints up to him, demanding "Where's the delay happening?" After staring in shock for a moment at backonboulevard, the dev turns and hurries away from him without a response.

Since the video and original stream went online, the content creator has received some comments supporting the effort, but also a great deal of negative responses from game fans and fellow video makers. While this creator likely only made this video in an attempt to go viral, numerous commenters are pointing out that accosting developers like this, who more often than not are in no way allowed to talk about their work during development, is purely harassment.

This move has likely drawn even more backlash than usual due to the fact that there have been numerous instances in recent history of game developers receiving death threats and other forms of harassment after players have objected to some element of a game's release. Bungie, Insomniac, and Capcom are just some of the studios that have gone through this, with Capcom going so far as to threaten legal action to protect its developers. It remains to be seen if Rockstar feels the need to take action to protect its developers in a similar fashion.
