Grow a Garden keeps dropping fun updates every week, and this time it’s the Fairy Update (1.21.0). It’s full of magic, bringing a new Fairy Event, shimmery fruits, supernatural pets, and fantasy-like crops.
Like always, there are new mutations and cosmetics to collect Sheckles and decorate your farm. But this update also adds two fresh mechanics that change the way the game is played: Garden Ascension (Rebirth) and upgrades to Sam’s Shop tiers. Here’s what’s new in Grow a Garden’s Fairy Update.
Wishing Well and Fountain Rewards
First off, you’ve got a Wishing Well that’s not just nice to look at, but also really rewarding. You just have to complete the Fairy Favors questline it offers to gain points and earn rewards, which is basically tossing in fruits with the Glimmering Mutation.
If you hand it the Glimmering Fruits that it asks for, like Glimmering Blueberry or Glimmering Apples, you'll get the most points. Otherwise, you could give it any random fruit, but the points then will vary on fruit rarity, so a Glimmering Tomato can only give you the least, and a Glimmering Bone Blossom can give you the most points.
As you hand in fruits and pick rewards, your fountain power goes up, unlocking superior reward tiers. There are five tiers in total, each one giving better stuff as you climb. Once you max out the fountain power by filling it five times, the Wishing Well makes you restart the Fairy Favors questline by spending 7,500 Fairy Points or 59 Robux.
How to Get Glimmering Fruits in Grow a Garden
To get Glimmering Fruits in Grow a Garden, wait for the Fairy Event to trigger (it starts every 47 minutes) and watch the Fairies mutate your fruits. Using the Fairy Targeter lets you focus Fairies on specific fruits in your garden. Thankfully, these magical beings can still glimmerize your crops while you’re offline.
You can also trigger this mutation yourself by dropping the Glimmering Sprite pet, using the Mutation Spray: Glimmering on your plants, or by applying Glimmering Pet Shards on random critters.
Fairy Event Upgrades
The cool part about the Fairy Update is that you can change the duration of the Fairy Event, adjust how many Fairies spawn in the server, and even increase the Glimmering Fruits multiplier through upgrades. To do this, just interact with the Fairy Godmother NPC and purchase upgrades using the event-exclusive currency called Fairy Points.

How to Get Fairy Points Fast in Grow a Garden
In Grow a Garden, you can earn Fairy Points through the Wishing Well, claiming Fountain rewards, and even talking to roaming Fairies. Players usually get a small amount of these points by completing the Fairy questline, but you can grab anywhere from 750 to 1000 Fairy Points by choosing them as a reward option. Every now and then, random Fairies will also spawn on the server; just find and interact with them to get around 200 Fairy Points.

Garden Ascension System
The devs have added a new Garden Ascension mechanic, which looks like it’s here to stay. An NPC named Orson the Coin Keeper shows up on the right side of the Sell Stuff stall; he’ll give you 10 Garden Coins a day if you hand over all your Sheckles.
You need about 1 trillion Sheckles to ascend in Grow a Garden, but if you have more than that, ascending will reset all your money.
The Garden Coin Shop comes with great upgrades, like extra pet slots, egg capacity boosts, and more space for pets, cosmetics, and plant inventories.
Sam's Seed Shop Tiers
Last but not least, the 1.21.0 Fairy Update has stepped up Sam's Seed Shop, letting players access a hidden corner of the shop to grab secret seeds. These include new Divine and Prismatic crops like Brussels Sprout and Cocomango.
To unlock it, you’ll need to cook food and feed it to Sam; once you earn enough points, Tier 2 will open up in the shop. The currency in this special tab is Garden Coins instead of Sheckles, so keep stacking them. Prismatic seeds only become available after you level up your friendship with Tom to level 3.
