In a crafting-survival game like Grounded 2, it's crucial to have the right tools to interact with the environment. As a human shrunk into a bug-sized being, players must navigate through the wild area of a park from the point of view of a little critter. This is why items involved in survival in Grounded 2 are things that seem big for a bug, like grass and dandelions. How To Get An Axe (Omni-Tool) In Grounded 2
To get an Axe in Grounded 2, players must find the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar, then pick up the Omni-Axe from the wall. This will be the first Omni-Tool players unlock in Grounded 2, and it's the first step to unlocking the rest of the equipment.
How To Chop Grass In Grounded 2
To chop grass in Grounded 2, simply approach the grass and press the chop button after obtaining the Axe. You don't need to equip the Axe, as it'll automatically be equipped when interacting with the correct object.
Chopping normal grass will yield Grass Plank, but there are other plants to chop, like dandelions, flowers, weeds, and so on.
How To Get Dry Grass Chunk In Grounded 2
To get Dry Grass Chunk in Grounded 2, players can either chop Dry Grass or harvest Dry Grass Chunk from the ground. Dry Grass Chunk plant can be found near the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar, making it easy to find when the mission requires it.
Meanwhile, chop-able Dry Grass can be found individually around the park, but there are areas where a bunch of Dry Grass are wilting. For example, the spot east of the Ominent Boarding Facility, west of Ranger Outpost: Snackbar, south of the Ceremony Pamphlet.
How To Find The Ranger Outpost In Grounded 2
Finding a Ranger Outpost is part of the One Tool to Rule Them All mission in Grounded 2. It might get overwhelming with the many tasks appearing at the same time, but to put it simply, Ranger Outpost: Snackbar is located east of the Ominent Onboarding Facility.
After entering the place and getting the Omni-Axe, there will be a call from the room across, but it's locked. To reach this room and unlock the Ranger Station, players must exit the outpost, find a cave outside, and then access the locked room from the route through the cave (there will be a quest marker for this, too). The locked door can be unlocked on the other side, so the entire outpost can be accessed easily after that.
The Ranger Station is useful for unlocking new items, crafting Omni-Tools, and upgrading equipment, such as the Axe, Wrench, and Shovel. For that, it's important to know the nearest Ranger Station from the base, so that it's easier to access higher-tier tools later.
