All Optical Disc Locations in Grounded 2

Optical Disks in Grounded 2 are rare collectibles that unlock access to new workstations, crafting blueprints, and cooking recipes, although Raw Science is required to fully unlock them. There are 6 Optical Disks in total, with half of these being TURBO editions. Importantly, players must head to Ranger Stations to insert these disks to gain the benefits. As the disks are spread out across the map, it's useful to have an Ant Buggy to travel faster and avoid danger.

Snackbar TURBO Optical Disk

Unlocks: Hatchery & Buggy Sign Set
Location: Snackbar Anthill

It's hard to miss the first TURBO Optical Disk in Grounded 2, as it is found during the 'Missed Connection' quest, and is essential for the following quests where players build a Hatchery to turn eggs into Buggies.

During 'Missed Connection', players will enter the Snackbar Anthill and, at one point, find their path blocked by rocks. After smashing these, they will have to defeat a Red Soldier Ant. At the end of this cave, there is a human body to loot and buried treasure to dig up, where the Snackbar TURBO Optical Disk is found.

Ice Cream Cart Optical Disk

Unlocks: Milk Molar Scanner, Cookbook: Ice Cream Cart, Fresh Storage, Fuzz Sign Set
Location: The southern part of the ice cream

The Ice Cream Cart Optical Disk unlocks some hugely important equipment, such as Fresh Storage, so players will want to get it as soon as possible. As it is found within the cold depths of the Ice Cream Cart region, players will need to be able to resist the cold with warm armor, and they can't take their Ant Bugg with them.

Grounded 2: All Creatures & Their Loot

There are many creatures in Grounded 2, most of whom are insects, but there are also arachnids and mollusks. Each of these can be killed for loot.

To get it, players will want to enter the actual Ice Cream Cart and look for two yellow popsicles. They can then hug the right wall until they find a dead body in some spilled pink ice cream. Watch out for Scorpions in this area.

TURBO Stolen Optical Disk

Unlocks: Smithing Station, Spike Strip, Acorn Turret, Bratburst
Location: In a cave during 'The Art of War' quest

After hatching an Ant Buggy, the next quest is 'The Art of War', and players will be guided to an entrance that can only be chomped down by their ant. Once inside the cave, players may have to fight an O.R.C. Northern Scorpion Jr, but then the TURBO Stolen Optical Disk is plainly visible on top of some rubble just ahead.

This area cannot be accessed without the Ant Buggy, which thankfully, can be respawned if players lose it in a fight.

Network Center TURBO Optical Disk

Unlocks: Orb Weaver Buggy, Raw Science Scanner, Cookbook: Network Center, Splatburst Recipe, Warlord Sign Set
Location: Found during the 'Networking' quest, next to the final main objective BURG.L's head.

If players continue through all the main story quests in Grounded 2, then one of the last missions is 'Networking', where players will enter a white pipe, just outside the Statue region. The pipe is next to a large red ribbon.

Continue following the markers and quest objectives until reaching a room where BURG.L's head is found. The Network Center TURBO Optical Disk is on the same table.

Spider Den Optical Disk

Unlocks: Smithing: Brittle Plating, Cookbook: Spider Den, Alley-oop!, Curved Bases, Twin Pines Sign Set
Location: Spider Den Anthill, Pine Hill

For the Spider Den Optical Disk, players will need to enter the South Entrance of the Spider Den Anthill atop their Ant Buggy. This is because at the first crossroads, their ant is required to break down the barrier.

They will then be inside the Memorial Crate, which leads to another section of the cave, where a Milk Molar is found. At the end of the cave, players should see loads of ant eggs, and then a body with the Optical Disk on it.

Toxic Anthill Optical Disk

Unlocks: Fortified Bases, Acorn Stairs, Ladder, Tiny Terracotta
Location: Toxic Anthill, northern Snackbar Front

Enter the South Entrance of the Toxic Anthill, which is found in the north part of the Snackbar Front region. In the anthill, turn left and right, and then head straight through.

Eventually, players will come face-to-face with the Cockroach Queen. Thankfully, if players don't want to or are too weak currently, they don't have to fight the Queen, as the Optical Disk can be found on a human body in this area.
