The game boasts a drama-filled story mode, expansive career mode, and an impressive garage of over 120 unique vehicles.
While GRID Legends' most reputable game features are centered around the various game modes, there is something for all types of driving fans. Among the many vehicles available for players to get behind the wheel in, the game includes a Drift car class for those who prefer burning rubber with style. While the Drift class lacks the depth of some of its counterparts, there are some solid choices for skidding enthusiasts.
5 Subaru BRZ Drift-Tuned
Subaru can boast the best paint job in the Drift class, but that doesn't distract from their car's high level of performance on the racetrack. Tweaking their Tuner to suit an alternative driving style, Subaru's BRZ Drift-Tuned's RWD is ideal for swinging the car around tight corners with style.
While the BRZ is a solid option for taking out drifting events, the turning on the car feels marginally heavier than some of its competitors and does have a slight disadvantage in stringing together drifting sequences in comparison to the others available. That being said, it is an excellent introduction to drifting for new drivers and will be a useful tool for mastering the fundamentals. Players will not have to slog it out across various races to unlock this drifter, with the car coming at a cool 61,250 in-game credits.
4 Mazda RX-7 FD35 Drift-Tuned
The Mazda RX-7 is a quick-off-the-blocks motor and a smooth steering experience all bundled up into one lightweight body, making it a terrific option for drift events. The RX-7 FD35 gets a drifting makeover that sees improvements in the car's acceleration and handling ratings, supporting a wide and heavy rear to help get the car sliding as it needs to.
The lightweight body and elite-level acceleration allow for a quick trigger into drift sequences, making this car one of the better options for chaining together skids and smoothly transitioning between corners without breaking the slide. To acquire the Japanese manufacturing giant's drifter, players will need to complete the Clubman Drift Event 1.
3 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Drift-Tuned
From family vehicle to one of the fastest cars in GRID Legends, to one of the best Drift models available in the game, the Mitsubishi Lancer certainly looks to be the vehicular jack of all trades. The Evolution X Drift-Tuned version of the world-famous car lives up to the Lancer's stellar reputation, and performs exactly what it is expected to do at the same high quality that car enthusiasts have come to expect.
Tweaked especially for the purpose of drifting, the Lancer Evolution X gives up some of its power and speed that place it among the elite cars for pace in the game, trading it for a smoother handling experience while maintaining an elite rating in acceleration. And it is this elite acceleration that puts the Lancer among the cream of the crop for drifting in GRID Legends, as speed is not as easily lost and a drift can be more effortlessly maintained.
To acquire the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Drift-Tuned, players will need to Complete Pro Muscle Event 1.
2 Nissan 370Z Drift
The successor to the popular drift model from manufacturer Nissan, the 370Z takes everything that drift enthusiasts love about the 350Z and makes it a tad taller and marginally more compact to improve its ability to burn rubber. Sporting one of the best-combined ratings in acceleration and handling, the 370Z Drift puts those attributes to good use to provide arguably the best option for drift circuits in GRID Legends.
While the 370Z can be bested by the Silvia S15 Drift, the former is more than capable of being the best that GRID Legends has to offer on drift circuits on any given day. Players eager to test out one of the best drifters in the game can do so with a purse of 119,000 in-game credits.
1 Nissan Silvia S15 Drift
Nissan perhaps proved themselves in a league of their own when it comes to drifting, as they take the top two spots in the Drift Class of GRID Legends. The Nissan Silvia S15 Drift is a classy car to burn through tires with and is an ideal choice for those attempting to exceed 1,000,000 points at the Okutama Sprint Drift Stage for the "What do you mean, Drift?!" Achievement.
The Silvia S15 Drift has arguably the smoothest handling among the Drift cars in the game, making it easier to chain multiple slides in succession with a decent amount of control and minimal chance of spinning out. What helps the Silvia stand out and maintain a consistent chain of drifting is its strong acceleration rating, which ensures that speed can be recovered when the car begins to lose its momentum.
For the trophy/achievement hunters, camping the car in 3rd and 4th gear around Okutama will have the track enveloped in a cloud of smoke as the Silvia dances her way to the elusive 1,000,000 points. To get behind the wheel of this car, players will need to Complete Pro Drift Event 1.
