Greyhill Incident paints a creepy picture with its latest trailer. For those that enjoy The X-Files, the movie Signs, and survival-horror games, Greyhill Incident should be one to keep an eye on.

There are many games about aliens, oftentimes taking place in outer space. Some of the most popular sci-fi horror games set in space are the Dead Space games, but other titles that fit the bill include Prey, Alien: Isolation, and System Shock. Greyhill Incident takes a different approach by using Earth as its setting.

Greyhill Incident protagonist Ryan Baker lives in a small neighborhood in 1990s America. Instead of futuristic weaponry found in other sci-fi games, Baker is equipped with a baseball bat and a revolver. The government is denying any and all evidence of aliens, but the small town of Greyhill can't deny what they see with their own eyes. Baker's resources are limited, and he'll have to use his wits and skills to survive the alien invasion and save as many people as he can.

Warning: The following trailer includes some offensive language.

Greyhill Incident is dark and foreboding, but it's also self-aware and relies on some well-established alien tropes. For example, the trailer shows people wearing tinfoil hats, not unlike the movie Signs, while the aliens look like the "Grey Aliens" described in alleged alien encounters.

Someone looking for a creepy survival-horror game with plenty of 90s throwback nostalgia should definitely keep Greyhill Incident on their radar.

Greyhill Incident is releasing on June 9 on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
