If recent leaks are to be believed, Grand Theft Auto 6 could be set to feature an exciting list of features. Any leaks and rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6 should be met with a healthy amount of skepticism, but if true, there may be a lot of fun world-building details to revel in.
The leaks in question come from Twitter user GameRoll. It's important to note that GameRoll is in no way an official spokesperson or developer for Rockstar, but they claim to have an inside source. GameRoll leaked the full names of both Jason and Lucia before they were officially released, so that gives them at least some credit, but claims as bold as these should be taken lightly. If the GTA 6 leaks are true, players will have plenty to look forward to, but when it comes to a Disney World parody, GameRoll claims that there is no such location, and if accurate, Rockstar is already missing a big opportunity with GTA Online.
Grand Theft Auto 6 May Be Hiding a Big Twist in Plain Sight
Not much has been revealed regarding the antagonistic threats of Grand Theft Auto 6, yet some big clues may have already been left by Rockstar.
GTA 6's Reported Lack of an Amusement Park Area Might Be Disappointing for GTA Online
Missing One of Florida's Most Well-Known Tourist Attractions
With GTA 6's Leonida being directly inspired by the state of Florida, the potential for a Disney World parody to be on the table seemed likely. However, according to GameRoll, Rockstar's game world will go without a satirical version of the massive amusement park. This claim was included in the section of the leaks listing cut and non-existent content. However, GameRoll didn't specify exactly which category such a feature fell into. If a Disney World parody simply never existed, then that hurts a little less, but if it was left on the cutting room floor, then it would be disappointing to know that it just never got finished.
Beyond Vice City, GTA 6 will feature plenty of other areas, like swamps and even a state park.
An Amusement Park Could Take GTA Online to New Heights
- Rockstar has yet to reveal an online counterpart for GTA 6.
Even though there hasn't been any announcement for an online mode for GTA 6, it's expected to launch either alongside or shortly after the base game. Not only would a Disney World parody be completely on brand with the GTA franchise's special blend of satire, but it would make GTA Online even more of a playground than it already is.
In-game amusement parks can offer hours of fun. Fallout 4's Nuka-World is one of the most notable, and with Rockstar's ability to craft immersive worlds, it would be fascinating to see what the developer's take on such a concept would be like.
GameRoll's leaks also claim that dual-wielding weapons, going prone, and a burglary mini-game may not be present in GTA 6.
If GTA 6 is Missing a Disney World Parody, it May Be for a Good Reason
Disney is one of the world's biggest media conglomerates, and if GTA 6 had a blatant Disney World parody, Rockstar may be risking a lawsuit. Of course, this is purely speculation, but Disney is known for being incredibly particular about how its brand is represented, and even a parody could ignite some controversy. So, while GTA 6 potentially not having a Disney World parody may disappoint some, Rockstar is bound to have a good reason for such an omission.
Also, it's important to note that developing this type of area is likely an incredibly difficult task. In the grand scheme of things, such a location may not have been practical, which is also understandable. However, Rockstar has yet to confirm or deny the leaks, so it will be interesting to see if they're accurate or not. A Disney World parody may be unlikely, but right now, there's no way to know for sure.
