The user online pointed out that in previous games, there were just a few female hairstyles that seemed to be repeated on NPCs, which can be pretty immersion-breaking at times. They also speculated that Lucia's inclusion as the series' first female protagonist could have influenced the number of new hairstyles, as they could be used as customization options for her.
