Gotham Knights fans are in for a treat today as developers dropped a new update that, besides fixing bugs and issues, will add new content to the game. Gotham Knights' launch was not flawless, but developers are working on improving the game, and this update looks to improve the game set in the Batman Arkham Universe.
Gotham Knights launched in 2022, and its release was not the best, to say the least. Gotham Knights came out in a rough state, and many players complained about its performance and missing features on consoles. Since the game's launch, the gameplay experience has greatly improved, and many players noticed it. Recently the developers released a new Gotham Knights update fixing many of the issues on PC and console versions. Luckily for fans, Gotham Knights' April 27 update looks to do the same while adding more content to the game.
Recently the official Gotham Knights Twitter account revealed all the changes, bug fixes, and additions implemented into the game in this new update. According to the update's patch notes, players will get access to a new Gotham Knights Heroic Assault called The Kelvin Incident. This new content will be available in the new game plus mode or after unlocking the raid area and defeating all the side villain missions. Besides this addition, the update also brings a new gear tier, raid drop materials, stronger enemies, and new transmogs.
Besides the new content, developers implemented a lot of additions regarding the game's accessibility. Controller remapping has been added to the game, so players can access this new feature and customize their controls as they want; for PC players, this feature covers keyboards, controls, and even mice. The Text-to-Speech feature was also improved, so users who took advantage of this feature should have a better experience after this update. Luckily for console players, this is not another Gotham Knights PC exclusive feature, so all players will have access to it.
Gotham Knights PC players received a lot of bug fixes and improvements to the game. According to the patch notes, PC players should have a better experience using Steam Deck, draw and shadow distance should not give any issues when playing in a high FOV, and streaming textures for some objects in the Heroic Assault levels should be fixed. The game's performance was improved as the developers fixed some rare refresh rate issues, crash fixes regarding Gotham Knights Multiplayer cross-play, crashes when using keyboards while using camera roll in Photo mode, and several performance improvements for both CPU and GPU. All in all, Gotham Knights' April 27 update will enhance the gameplay experience even more, so fans who have not played the game in a while might want to launch the game after downloading this update.
