After the massive success of the Arkham games, one would assume the next Batman game would take the franchise to new heights. Unfortunately, Gotham Knights did not meet expectations. While Gotham Knights has its problems, one of the most prominent is the fact that it does not elaborate on many of its features.

Interrogating enemies is an important gameplay mechanic that players largely ignore due to a lack of awareness. Sometimes it is a better move to interrogate enemies rather than beat them to a pulp. Keeping this in mind, this blog will cover everything there is to know about interrogating enemies in Gotham Knights and other helpful tidbits.

It is worth noting that not every enemy type can be interrogated. There is an informant in the ranks for every group of enemies that the player encounters. However, not every group of enemies needs to have an informant. For this reason, players should avoid mowing down every enemy group they come across to prevent losing out on vital information from the informant.

To scan and locate the informant, follow these simple steps:

  1. Scan the group of enemies before taking them down.
  2. Mark enemies by pressing down on the D-Pad or X on the keyboard.
  3. After marking all enemies, look for the informant with a question mark over their head.

Once the informant has been located, players can interrogate them using either of the following two ways:

  1. Lower the informant’s health until they are ready to talk.
  2. Use stealth to sneak behind the informant and grab them by pressing RT on the Xbox controller, R2 on the PlayStation controller, or Tab on the keyboard.
  3. Start the interrogation by pressing Y on the Xbox controller, Triangle on the PlayStation controller, or Q on the keyboard.

Nearby enemies can interrupt the interrogation, so it is a good idea to clear the area beforehand or wait until the informant is in a secluded area.

The best and fastest way to interrogate informants involves using stealth. Sneaking behind an enemy to interrogate them is pretty straightforward, but players can speed up this process by playing with Batgirl or Robin.

Batgirl and Robin are the best heroes for interrogating enemies since their abilities boost stealth. On the flip side, Red Hood and Nightwing are better suited to clearing out enemies rather than being stealthy.

Gotham Knights is available on PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.
