Pokemon recently unveiled a new collaboration with a luxury jewelry brand, which features a wildly expensive gold Pikachu necklace. The popular video game franchise has had several prominent collabs in the past. Its most recent was with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.

For almost three decades, Pokemon has entertained children and adults around the world. Last year, Generation 9 debuted with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which also marked the franchise's milestone of reaching over 1,000 Pokemon. The franchise is also going strong with other titles such as Pokemon GO, Pokemon Sleep, and Detective Pikachu Returns.

Apart from its video game releases, Pokemon often partners with brands to create one-of-a-kind items for its fans. For the holiday season, it collaborated with luxury brand Tiffany & Co. And artist Daniel Arsham of Arsham Studio to craft a line of jewelry pieces featuring Pokemon characters. To be released in December, the capsule collection will include necklaces and bracelets, including an 18-karat yellow gold Pikachu necklace with diamond accents worth roughly around $29,000 and oxidized sterling silver pendants with diamond accents featuring Charmander, Mew, Cubone, Squirtle, and Jigglypuff worth around $1,290 each. Completing the Pokemon x Tiffany & Co. Collaboration is a Tiffany Blue Pokeball box to store one's accessory of choice.

The Pokemon x Tiffany & Co. X Arsham Studio Collection

  • 18-karat yellow gold Pikachu necklace with diamond accents (comes in two designs)
  • Oxidized sterling silver necklace with diamond accents (comes with Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mew, Cubone, Charmander, or Squirtle)
  • Oxidized sterling silver bracelet with Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mew, Cubone, Charmander, and Squirtle charms
  • Tiffany Blue Poke Ball box

Arsham told High Snobiety that he wanted to create a collection in the same aesthetic as his Future Relics art series, which reimagines everyday objects as archeological discoveries from a dystopian future. Through the Tiffany & Co. Collaboration, "we've immortalized our beloved Pokemon in a celebration of Tiffany's renowned artistry." His vision is similar to the Future Paradox Pokemon in Pokemon Violet. The Pokemon jewelry collection will be available at theTiffany & Co. Landmark in New York and via Tiffany & Co.'s official website.

This Pokemon collaboration could be the perfect holiday gift, especially for avid fans and collectors, but it will cost a pretty penny. Hopefully, the pieces don't sell out quickly, just like what happened with the Pokemon x Van Gogh Pikachu card, because they usually come in limited quantities.
