God of War Ragnarok Valhalla: How to Unlock Young Kratos Skin

Longtime series fans should be happy to learn that it's now possible to switch between young and old Kratos in both God of War Ragnarok and Valhalla.

One of the most interesting discoveries in God of War Ragnarok is where to find Sanctuary Grove, Freya's home from God of War (2018) that was actually a giant tortoise named Chaurli. Kratos, Freya, and Chaurli can have a cold reunion, but only after the credits roll.

How to Get to Sanctuary Grove in God of War Ragnarok

In order to get to Sanctuary Grove, players must first have completed the main story.

Once the campaign has been completed, players need to return to Sindri's House and throw the Leviathan Axe at the wind chimes to summon Ratatoskr. Once summoned, talking to Ratatoskr will see players obtain the Pouch of Yggdrasil Seeds key item, which contains Realm Seeds that unlock Mystic Gateways across the nine realms, including new, unexplored areas.

With the Pouch of Yggdrasil Seeds claimed from Ratatoskr, players can head to the Mystic Gateway and access Midgard. Once they are on Midgard's fast travel screen, players will want to select the Undiscovered Gateway. Holding the X button will unlock the Mystic Gateway and reveal the Sanctuary Grove.

There are no other ways to access the Sanctuary Grove, and players must have completed the campaign and venture to this location via the Mystic Gateway.

Where to Find Mirkweed For Nine Realms in Bloom

Once players arrive in Sanctuary Grove, they can witness the emotional reunion between Freya and Chaurli, the giant tortoise who has since been abandoned in Freya's blinding quest for vengeance against Kratos. It's a lovely heart-to-heart, and when facing Chaurli, players can walk to the left to find the Mirkweed plant that is needed for the Nine Realms in Bloom side quest and God of War Ragnarok trophy.
