Pokemon TCG Pocket players are soaking up the brand-new Triumphant Light expansion, but Giratina fans feel the Ghost/Dragon Legendary Pokemon has been done dirty in this set. Giratina was first introduced during Generation 4 and showcased its Altered Forme and Original Forme, the latter of which holds a Griseous Orb or Griseous Core. The draconic pocket monster is a fan-favorite in Pokemon TCG Pocket and the traditional tabletop trading card game, in addition to being the Pokemon Platinum mascot, and its fans are disappointed the Legendary creature is not more of a staple in the current digital expansion.

Pokemon TCG Pocket was released in October 2024 as a free-to-play mobile adaptation of the physical game, developed by Creatures Inc. And DeNA. Pokemon TCG Pocket released the Triumphant Light expansion at the end of February 2025, and the digital variant of the game has become a popular go-to for new and long-term fans of the greater Pokemon franchise. Ultimately, Pocket allows players to cut down on the cost of buying physical cards and eliminates the need for folder space to store them all.

Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Want More Deck Slots

Fans of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket are asking the developers to introduce more deck slots to the game, accounting for its growing cardpool.

Pokemon TCG Pocket players believe Triumphant Light is a giant leap for the meta, but Giratina fans are confused as to why the draconic pocket monster is left without a full-art card in Triumphant Light, while the other Legendaries receive one.

While a lot of Pokemon TCG Pocket players have been marveling over the new card that revives discarded pocket monsters, Redditors believed excluding Giratina from the line-up was “lore accurate” treatment. Others thought Giratina would get its own promo ex event at some point, and confusion was also noted over Probopass receiving an ex card over Giratina.

Lead by Arceus ex and powerful Link Abilities, the Triumphant Light expansion boasts over 70 brand-new cards, featuring Trainers and unmatched Pokemon ex. Pokemon TCG Pocket Triumphant Light has a host of secret missions for Trainers to indulge in, and players also have a special ongoing campaign to take part in presently to celebrate 29 years of the IP. Interested parties can log in until April 29 to receive a Genetic Apex: Pikachu booster pack and Genetic Apex: Mewtwo booster pack, which contains at least one card with a rarity of four diamonds or higher.
