Transmog is the ability to change the appearance of Armor without actually modifying what the Armor does, but is transmog in Ghost of Yotei? While this highly desirable feature has made its way to plenty of games, Ghost of Yotei has a bit of a complicated answer to that question that we'll answer below. While everyone might want to change out Atsu's outfits and armor to create their own version of the Onryo, especially since some of the Armor is extremely powerful, the answer might not please everyone, but there's at least something there worth looking into.

How to Change Armor Appearance in Ghost of Yotei

Does Ghost of Yotei Have Transmog?

Unfortunately, Ghost of Yotei does not have a transmog system. This means that you can't see the great bonuses of the Undying Armor associated with the Fundoshi Outfit. However, players can change the appearance of their Armor. If an Armor has a Dye or a different upgrade tier, then you can select Options, Gear, and click your Armor. From here, press the Square button to enter the appearance menu, where you can choose between the different Dyes that you currently have unlocked or purchased for that specific Armor. You can also use this menu to revert Armor changes with L1 and R1, as each time you upgrade a piece of Armor, you will change the way the Armor looks. With this menu, you can revert those changes from the Tier 1 version all the way to the Tier 4 version. This will change the visual appearance of the Armor, but has no impact on the Armor's overall bonuses and upgrades.

Sadly, this is the only level of customization in Ghost of Yotei. Hopefully, a future update for the game will provide a transmog system so players can make the coolest-looking outfits without impacting the buffs and armor stats that they want to use for their builds.
