PlayStation has announced that the Ghost of Yotei limited-edition PS5 consoles and accessories will be available to pre-order starting September 4. The Ghost of Yotei hardware lineup, which is scheduled to roll out alongside the game on October 2, includes two different PS5 Slim console variants, two DualSense controller variants, and one variant of console covers for PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro.
After hitting shelves nearly five years ago, the current PlayStation generation has not only seen a slew of new games but also a few different themed PS5 variants. So far, fans have seen Sony release PS5 bundles to commemorate major events, such as the launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and the company's 30th anniversary. In July, it was revealed that the PS5-exclusive Ghost of Yotei was also getting the same treatment with its own themed bundle, among other goodies.
Things That Could Ruin Ghost Of Yotei (But Sucker Punch Can Avoid)
Tranquil waters will help Sucker Punch release another hit, but causing any of these ripples could cause Ghost of Yotei to sink.
When Can Fans Pre-Order the Ghost of Yotei Limited-Edition PS5 and Accessories?
- September 4 at 10 AM local time
In an update to its announcement post, PlayStation has confirmed September 4 as the date on which pre-orders for the limited-time Ghost of Yotei bundles and accessories will go live. Starting at 10 AM local time, the pair of themed PS5 Slim bundles will be available for $599.99. While the DualSense controllers will cost $84.99, the console covers will be priced at $64.99. Most importantly, the white-and-gold version of the Ghost of Yotei PS5 hardware will be available through direct.playstation.com and select retailers, while the white-and-black version will be limited to regions supported by the previously mentioned website.
Although PS5 players have had the chance to snag various console covers and controllers before, the upcoming launch of the Ghost of Yotei PS5 will be just the second time that a bundle, containing a themed console, has been released this generation by Sony. The first time this happened was way back in 2023, when the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 bundle arrived in September, over a month before the game's arrival. Given the long time that has passed since, it will likely be refreshing for many players to finally have access to another special edition PS5 console.
Meanwhile, Ghost of Yotei, Sony's next big first-party launch, is set to headline the PlayStation booth at Tokyo Game Show 2025. With the event taking place between September 25 and September 28, this exhibition may provide the final look at the Ghost of Tsushima sequel before its highly anticipated launch.
