There are 15 Bamboo Strikes in Ghost of Yotei, two of which can be found on the Oshima Coast. The Atago Bamboo Strike will likely be the first that most players come to, as it's right by the entrance to the area, although completing it may prove to be a little trickier than usual.

This is because Ghost of Yotei players will be zapped by lightning almost immediately after they start to cut bamboo, which can make completing the Atago Bamboo Strike seem impossible at first. Thankfully, there's a fairly simple way to stop the lightning and avoid getting shocked.

How to Avoid the Atago Bamboo Strike Lightning in Ghost of Yotei

To avoid getting electrocuted, players will simply need to pick up and throw all of the weapons stuck into the ground around the Bamboo Strike. To do so, they'll simply need to press R2 while standing next to one of the weapons to pick it up and then press R2 again while holding L2 to throw it. It doesn't matter where players decide to throw the weapons, as long as it's away from the Bamboo Stike.

How to Complete the Atago Bamboo Strike Lightning in Ghost of Yotei

As with all of the other Bamboo Strikes in Ghost of Yotei, the Atago Bamboo strike has three pre-determined stages. This bodes well, as those having trouble completing it can use the button sequences below to avoid having to memorize the order for themselves.

  • Atago Bamboo Strike Stage 1: X + Square + L1
  • Atago Bamboo Strike Stage 2: X + Square + L1 + Square + Triangle
  • Atago Bamboo Strike Stage 3: X + Square + L1 + Square + Triangle + L1 + Circle

If players are having trouble completing Bamboo Strikes, they can switch the Rapid Button Presses accessibility option to Simplified. Doing so will give them unlimited time to press the required buttons.

Reward for Completing the Atago Bamboo Strike in Ghost of Yotei

Other than the satisfaction of having solved a fairly basic physics-inspired puzzle, successfully completing the Atago Bamboo Strike will reward players with an increase to Atsu's spirit.
