Out of all the available supports in Genshin Impact, Xingqiu is a fan favorite. The Guhua Disciple is amazing in both offense and defense. Offensively, both his Elemental Skill and Burst can deal great damage without him having to take field time. Meanwhile, defensively, Xingqiu can reduce incoming damage, and then heal the active character whenever his Rain Sword disappears. As if that's not enough, this unit is also an amazing battery. If equipped with Sacrificial Sword in Genshin Impact, Xingqiu will be twice as good at this job.

Considering all this utility, it's no surprise that Genshin Impact players would want to raise this character. If Travelers are looking for the list of things they need to ascend Xingqiu and upgrade his talents, then this article will help.

Leveling Materials

Usually, a Genshin Impact support would be kept at level 70 or 80, but Xingqiu's utility is way too good for him to be left at those levels. He'll need both the HP and ATK stat granted by his level, so players should aim to maximize it. For that, they will need:

Xingqiu Ascension Items

Just like any Hydro characters, Xingqiu needs the Varunada Lazurite stones for his ascension materials. Meanwhile, for the boss drop, he requires Cleansing Heart, similar to other original Hydro units. As for the Local Specialty, Xingqiu has to share the Silk Flower with Hu Tao in Genshin Impact.

Gemstones - Where to Find Varunada Lazurite

Players will need Varunada Lazurite to ascend Xingqiu, as he's a Hydro character. This gem can be collected from the Oceanid, which also needs to be fought for Xingqiu. Other bosses can also drop it, though. Here's a full list:

Boss Drop - How to Get Cleansing Heart

To get Cleansing Heart, players have to defeat Rhodeia of Loch, also known as the Oceanid. Unlike typical bosses in Genshin Impact, people will only fight her Hydro Mimics, and not Rhodeia herself.

As her minions will be water creatures, players can utilize Cryo for permafreeze, Electro for Electro-charged reactions, or Pyro for easy Vaporize effects. Dendro Cores can also be created easily, as these enemies are basically always Hydro-afflicted. However, what matters most is that Travelers have to prepare a ranged unit (bow or long-ranged catalyst) for the flying Birds/Raptors.

Local Specialty - Where to Find Silk Flower

Silk Flower is a special flora that requires proper caring to grow. This is why people won't find them in the wild. To collect Silk Flowers, here are some possible sources:

• The base of Wangshu Inn
• Yujing Terrace of Liyue Harbor
• Bought from Ms. Bai (Qingce Village) and Verr Goldet (Wangshu Inn). Each of them will sell five Silk Flowers, each costing 1,000 Mora. They both restock them every three days.

If the Seed Dispensary Gadget is equipped when Travelers are picking the flower, then they'll also obtain the seeds, which they can plant in their Serenitea Pot.

Xingqiu Talent Materials

For Xingqiu's talents, players should prioritize his Elemental Burst first. Afterward, they can work on his Elemental Skill. Meanwhile, his Normal Attack should be left at level one as Xingqiu is unlikely to use them in a fight. To upgrade his talents, players will need the items and Mora listed in this table.
