A Genshin Impact announcement has revealed more details about the upcoming five-star Geo user Xilonen, who is scheduled to appear in the upcoming update 5.1. Xilonen will be the only new character in this update, which means that Genshin Impact 5.1 will also include re-runs for three older five-star characters.
The recently held Special Program event confirmed that the first part of Version 5.1 will feature Chiori alongside Xilonen. The second banner cycle will allow players to pull for the Sumeru Archon Nahida and the fan-favorite Hu Tao, also known as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

Genshin Impact's most recent Character Skill Showcase has revealed many details about Xilonen. Xilonen's main description reveals that she is a support character who can provide multi-Elemental RES reduction. She was previously confirmed to be a sword user. Xilonen's Normal Attack is fairly simple, allowing her to perform three consecutive attacks with her sword. The only unusual thing about her Normal Attacks is that sword users usually have more than three consecutive attacks. Similar to most Natlan characters in Genshin Impact, Xilonen's kit has a Nightsoul Blessing effect called Blade Roller. When in this state, Xilonen's Normal Attacks will make her perform up to four different kicks using her roller blades, and the damage scales with Xilonen's DEF stat.

Xilonen's Elemental Skill is called Yuhual's Scratch, and it makes her rush forward, dealing Nightsoul-aligned Geo damage. During her roller blade state, she can easily climb steep mountains, making her a great choice for exploring the overworld. Her Elemental Skill also allows her to reduce specific types of Elemental RES, depending on the elemental powers of her teammates. This means that Xilonen will likely be one of the most flexible Geo characters in Genshin Impact.
Oceloticue Point is the name of Xilonen's Elemental Burst, and it makes her deal Nightsoul-aligned Geo damage in a large area, scaling with Xilonen's DEF. If Xilonen has at least two Source Samples with their Elemental Types changed, Xilonen will periodically heal nearby active characters. However, if she has fewer than two samples, the Burst's damage will increase, which could make her a viable sub-DPS unit for Geo teams in Genshin Impact.
