A Genshin Impact fan has noticed an interesting detail at the end of the game's iconic wishing animation. Wishing, also known as pulling on a banner, is one of the main mechanics in gacha-based games, allowing players to try their luck at acquiring new characters and weapons.
Genshin Impact features several interesting banners, but the most popular one by far is the Limited Character Banner. This banner showcases a variety of five-star and four-star playable units that are available for approximately three weeks. Players who miss the limited characters have the opportunity to pull for them again during re-run banners, which are usually spaced five to six updates apart.
A Twitter user named aka_no_ragunaru has shared a set of interesting images revealing what might be hidden at the end of Genshin Impact's famous wishing animation screen. According to the post, the image used for the background of this animation was apparently taken inside the well-known tavern named Angel's Share. Located in the main city of the Mondstadt region, this tavern sells drink-based food items that can be purchased by speaking to an NPC named Charles. The post garnered significant attention within the community, achieving over 23,000 likes and around 2,700 retweets. Many fans seem to agree that the background in the images bears a striking resemblance to the interior of the tavern.
Players have already started debating why HoYoverse chose to feature this image in the background. While there have been a lot of ideas, many fans agree that it was probably just used as a placeholder initially and there was no real reason to change it afterward. Some comments have highlighted that, from now on, every time they make a wish, they will be reminded of Genshin Impact's City of Freedom, which remains a fan-favorite region for a large part of the community.
Will Mondstadt Get an Expansion?
Every incredible journey through the world of Teyvat begins in the Anemo region, and many fans suspect that this will be where the main storyline concludes. For a long time, many credible leakers have hinted at a new Genshin Impact expansion to the north of Mondstadt.
The seventh confirmed region, Snezhnaya, is expected to be located north of Mondstadt, which suggests that the Anemo nation will likely be connected to the Cryo region. While there is still no official information on this matter, the fact that HoYoverse recently introduced a Liyue expansion leads many players to believe that the release of a new part of Mondstadt might not be too far in the future.
