Genshin Impact runs on a gacha-based system, which means that its main source of revenue comes from players spending money to pull for characters and weapons on the limited or standard banners. However, HoYoverse also grants a sizable amount of Primogems for free through various activities, from completing Daily Commissions to participating in web events.
Genshin Impact 5.7 Leak Shows New Game Mode in Action
A Genshin Impact leak reveals gameplay footage of a new permanent game mode that should arrive in the upcoming update 5.7.
Genshin Impact's official Twitter account has announced an interesting web event called "Hey, you! Pick a side!" In this event, players have to choose between either Ajaw or Cacucu and create a post of their own, which generates a special link. Following this link will lead to Genshin Impact's official page, where players simply need to click "Redeem Code" to claim 30 free Primogems. The web event will run from May 13 to May 20, and players should ensure that they are logged into the correct account on the Genshin Impact website. According to the comment section, players seem divided on whom to support in this event, as both Ajaw and Cacucu have quickly become fan favorites since their introduction. K'uhul Ajaw is the loyal companion of Genshin Impact's five-star Dendro user Kinich and the self-proclaimed Almighty Dragonlord.
Genshin Impact Reveals New Ajaw and Cacucu Web Event
Ajaw can be summoned through Kinich's Elemental Burst, which is actually called Hail to the Almighty Dragonlord. According to official lore, Ajaw is a relic from the era of the dragons, which dates back several thousand years. He was apparently one of the thirteen dragonlords who watched over the thirteen regions of the ancient version of Genshin Impact’s Natlan region. Out of the thirteen dragons that ruled Natlan, Ajaw is the only one who served and survived. He had been captured in a phlogiston bracelet and sealed in underground ruins. These ruins were discovered during an earthquake in the Pyro nation, which is when Kinich found Ajaw. Since then, they've become one of the most iconic duos in the Pyro nation.
Cacucu is Ifa's Saurian companion, who can be summoned onto the field by using the character’s Elemental Skill, Airborne Disease Prevention. Cacucu was introduced in the most recent Genshin Impact Version 5.6, which also features the new four-star character Ifa on one of the banners.
Despite his angry appearance, Cacucu is a very cheerful Qucusaurus who helps at Ifa's clinic and can even understand human speech. Players who want to get Genshin Impact's new character Ifa and his companion Cacucu have around two more weeks to do so, as their banner is scheduled to expire around May 27.
