Genshin Impact has officially revealed the lineup for the first half of Version 5.6, confirming that Navia and Escoffier will be accompanied by Layla, Ororon, and Ifa. While Version 5.6 centers around the Traveler's return to Mondstadt, the Flagship Event takes place in Fontaine – featuring beloved characters like Navia and Furina interacting with the cast of Natlan for the first time. Among the tourists, Genshin Impact players can expect to see Kinich, Ifa, and Ororon, who will be swept up in a storyline that also brings Neuvillette and Wriothesley back to the spotlight.
The Flagship Event is set up in a way to support the Event Banners of Version 5.6. An important thing to note is that Version 5.6 will also introduce a new Chronicled Banner to Genshin Impact, this time featuring an assortment of Inazuma characters. Players who prefer Ayaka over the upcoming Skirk can potentially obtain her and Escoffier for a premium Freeze team. Genshin Impact 5.6 will bring a character from Fontaine called Escoffier, and the Natlan veterinarian, Ifa.
The official Genshin Impact account shared the banner characters for the first half of Version 5.6 on Reddit, providing players with an overview of the 4-Stars that will accompany Escoffier and Navia. While Ifa was already confirmed for the first half, Layla and Ororon are a pleasant surprise in terms of the value they bring. Even between Citlali and Zhongli, Layla in Genshin Impact continues to shine as a Shield Support, while Ororon is not only one of the best Electro off-fielders, but he has amazing synergy with Ifa.

Thanks to earlier datamining, Genshin Impact players can now determine the full lineup for the second half of the update as well. Kinich and Raiden will be paired up once again, but they will also be joined by Thoma, Sara, and Lynette. In terms of synergy, Kinich will definitely want Thoma as his Shield Support, and Sara has been a classic teammate to Raiden ever since her debut. That being said, unless players desire a particular Genshin Impact character in Version 5.6, the best investment for the long term would be Escoffier.
Players will not only be able to provide Skirk, who is on the way in Version 5.7, with her best teammate, but they will also be able to prepare for any future Cryo (or even Hydro) hypercarry. The state of Cryo has been dire in Genshin Impact, and many fans are hoping that Escoffier and Skirk will drag it back into the meta. While the numbers appear to be there, it remains to be seen if the gameplay will match.
