A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed which characters will appear during the main event in the upcoming Version 5.5 update. Each Genshin Impact update features a flagship event, usually consisting of a few limited-time quests that grant various rewards, including free characters, weapons, and valuable Primogems.
The current flagship event for Genshin Impact Version 5.4 is called Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival, and it takes players to the fan-favorite Inazuma region. During this event, players can obtain the new 4-star polearm, Tamayuratei no Ohanashi, for free, along with its refinement levels by completing a few simple steps.

Although Genshin Impact Version 5.4 has not yet reached its halfway point, new leaks have already begun revealing details about the main event in the next update. A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit suggests that the upcoming flagship event for Version 5.5 will feature multiple characters from the Natlan region. This adds credibility to previous leaks claiming that the main storyline will return to the Pyro nation after Travelers explored Liyue and Inazuma in the previous and current updates. The leak also indicates that the event will be divided into three parts. While some characters will appear throughout the entire event, others will only participate in certain segments.

He is also said to be a close friend of Genshin Impact's Ororon, which could be symbolic, as a free copy of Ororon will be distributed during the event.
According to the list, the 4-star Geo user Kachina will be involved in all three parts of the event, even more than Genshin Impact's Pyro Archon or the newly introduced character Varesa, who has been confirmed for the next update. Varesa won’t be the only new roster addition, as HoYoverse has also confirmed the long-awaited arrival of Iansan, who was first teased in one of Genshin Impact's earliest story previews.
Varesa is expected to be a 5-star character in Genshin Impact, while Iansan is likely to be a 4-star playable unit. As for their exact release dates, HoYoverse’s usual update schedule suggests that Varesa will be featured in the first banner cycle, which is expected to drop around March 26. Players are hoping that both Varesa and Iansan will appear in the same banner phase, making it easier to obtain both characters.
