Genshin Impact has provided a detailed overview of all the rewards that Version 5.3 will grant to its players, including a free glider, skin, and a 4-Star character from Liyue of their choice. It's safe to say that Natlan has been generous towards the Genshin Impact community. Not only did Version 5.0 introduce Capturing Radiance, but it also overhauled the Weapon Banner to favor players more strongly. Moreover, Genshin Impact allowed players to pick a Standard Banner character for free during its fourth Anniversary.
In a similar vein, the upcoming Lantern Rite is set to be a bit more charitable. In terms of content, it will introduce Lan Yan as a rattan weaver from Chenyu Vale, and will revolve around Hu Tao and Xiangling, with both Genshin Impact characters set to receive alternate outfits. Much like previous Lantern Rites, players will be able to participate in a myriad of mini-games, including a combat event, and earn Primogems for completing its objectives.

Genshin Impact reveals the lineup of featured characters for Version 5.3, as the Weapon Banners shape up to be some of the best in recent memory.
The full slate of rewards was shared by the official Genshin Impact account on Twitter, highlighting the 4-Star character selector for Lantern Rite. By completing the Flagship Event in Version 5.3, players will be able to invite a Liyue 4-Star of their choice, including Lan Yan. The login rewards for the Lantern Rite will grant players 10 Intertwined Wishes, while the in-game mail system will provide 1600 Primogems. Furthermore, participating in the Lantern Rite in Genshin Impact will unlock the new Xiangling skin for free. Lastly, Genshin Impact players will be able to claim the Xbox glider skin on any platform for a limited time.

The Lantern Rite selector allows players to obtain a missing Liyue 4-Star, or one of their constellations. There are a few notable Genshin Impact 4-Stars in this lineup, as Xiangling and Xingqiu are highly valued in both the Spiral Abyss and the Imaginarium Theater. If players want something more unorthodox, Yao Yao is a decent Dendro healer for those who lack Baizhu, who will also be present in the new Chronicled Banner in Version 5.3. In terms of hypercarries, Gaming scales well with his Constellations, and has amazing synergy with Xianyun.
Though players can also select Lan Yan via the Lantern Rite event, she can normally be obtained via the second half's Event Banners for Version 5.3. From a gameplay standpoint, Lan Yan in Genshin Impact is the first Anemo Shield Support. Rather fittingly, her Shield can absorb other elements at the time of casting her Elemental Skill, and she gains an extra charge at C6. Version 5.3 is set to launch on January 1, 2025, but players will have to wait until its second phase for the Lantern Rite to officially begin.
