- The Event Banners for Version 5.3 of Genshin Impact will feature Citlali and Mavuika during the first half.
- The second half will feature Arlecchino and Clorinde.
- Version 5.3 is set to launch on January 1, 2025.
Genshin Impact has revealed the Event Banners for Version 5.3, as Citlali and Mavuika will feature during the first half of the patch, while the second half will be headlined by Arlecchino and Clorinde. With three new characters, two Lantern Rite skins, a major Flagship Event, and the conclusion of Natlan's Archon Quest, Version 5.3 is set to be an ambitious update for Genshin Impact.
Moreover, Version 5.3 is set to introduce a new Chronicled Banner to Genshin Impact, this time featuring a lineup of Liyue characters. While Xianyun and Yelan are absent from the Chronicled Banner, players will be able to obtain 5-Stars such as Ganyu, Shenhe, Tartaglia, and Baizhu during the Lantern Rite in 2025. In terms of the Event Banners, Version 5.3 is set to break a major rule that has been present in Genshin Impact since Inazuma.
Genshin Impact Teases Upcoming Characters for 2025
Genshin Impact reveals the lineup of playable characters that will be released in the first six months of 2025, including one major lore figure.
For the first time in Genshin Impact's history, both new 5-stars will debut during the first half of the patch and will run on the Event Banners at the same time. The banner characters for Version 5.3 of Genshin Impact will be: Mavuika and Citlali, followed by Arlecchino and Clorinde. The 4-star character from Liyue, Lan Yan, will join Arlecchino and Clorinde on the Event Banners during the second half of the patch. However, Genshin Impact players will also be able to obtain a copy of Lan Yan for free via the Lantern Rite selector.
Genshin Impact: Version 5.3 Event Banners
Mavuika – 5-star Pyro Claymore
Citlali – 5-star Cryo Catalyst
Arlecchino – 5-star Pyro Polearm
Clorinde – 5-star Electro Sword
Lan Yan – 4-star Anemo Catalyst
Chevreuse – 4-star Pyro Polearm
Rosaria – 4-star Cryo Polearm
Diona – 4-star Cryo Bow
Bennett – 4-Star Pyro Sword
It should be noted that while Lan Yan is confirmed for the second half, the exact order of 4-star characters is yet to be determined. Chevreuse makes the most sense to feature alongside Arlecchino in Genshin Impact, but the game has been rather fond of breaking patterns in the Natlan era. Players will be able to obtain around a hundred Intertwined Wishes in Version 5.3 as free-to-play accounts, which should help with their Primogem funds considerably.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Weapon Banners in Version 5.3 will be extremely stacked. Arlecchino and Clorinde's Signature Weapons are powerful options for several characters, Mavuika's Claymore is almost universal, and Starcaller's Watch should be coveted by any Catalyst user that either scales with Elemental Mastery or uses a Shield (such as Baizhu). Thanks to the recent Weapon Banner change in Genshin Impact, players will be able to obtain these Signatures with greater ease. Version 5.3 is set to launch on January 1, 2025.
