Genshin Impact has officially unveiled the Event Banners for the second half of Version 5.4, as Wriothesley and Furina will be joined by Charlotte, Chongyun, and Mika. While the first half of Version 5.4 could be considered a bit of a reprieve, Genshin Impact is ramping up for a string of enticing reruns. Furina is considered to be one of the best Supports in Genshin Impact, while many players are looking forward to Wriothesley making his triumphant return to the Event Banners.
With the introduction of Genshin Impact characters like Emilie and Xilonen, Wriothesley's value as a hypercarry has only increased since his debut in Version 4.1. He can thrive in Melt, Burnmelt, and Freeze teams, allowing players to build around Wriothesley in whichever direction suits them best. While many fans were forced to skip Wriothesley in Version 4.1 due to Neuvillette's meteoric rise, Version 5.4 represents a chance for them to claim one of the most exciting Cryo characters in Genshin Impact.

The second half banners were confirmed by the official Genshin Impact account on Reddit, and one thing that immediately caught everyone's attention were the three Cryo 4-Stars. Given how Genshin Impact has treated its Cryo characters in the past two years, having a banner comprised almost entirely of Cryo feels equally incredulous and long overdue. With Wriothesley, Furina, Chongyun, Mika, and Charlotte all on the Event Banners, players could feasibly create a powerful core for a Freeze team in Genshin Impact.

When it comes to 4-Star characters in Genshin Impact, the biggest value in this Event Banner undoubtedly lies in Charlotte. Not only is she a powerful Cryo healer who has synergy with Furina, but she hasn't been featured on the Event Banners since Version 4.2. Since there are no guarantees when it comes to rerun schedules in Genshin Impact, players who want Charlotte should certainly invest a few pulls on the Furina banner – as Support constellations are always valuable to own.
On the other hand, the Weapon Banner will be especially enticing for Wriothesley players, as they will be able to obtain both his Signature Weapon, and the Splendor of Tranquil Waters – one of the best Swords for teams with hit point fluctuation. As attractive as it would be to spend pulls on Furina or Wriothesley in Genshin Impact, it's important to keep in mind that Version 5.5 will have Varesa, Xianyun, Xilonen, and Venti on the Event Banners. While Version 5.5 will have plenty of Primogems for players to collect, Intertwined Wishes are a limited currency for most people at the end of the day. Version 5.5 is set to launch on March 26, 2025.
