Summary
- Genshin Impact Version 4.3 will focus on quality-of-life changes, such as removing farming and leveling inconveniences for Artifacts, and adding an Artifact filter and expeditions improvements.
- The highlight of Version 4.3 is the introduction of new characters, including fan-favorite Navia as a 5-Star Geo Claymore. Ayaka, Raiden Shogun, and Yoimiya will also feature in Limited Event Banners.
- The main story will not continue in Version 4.3, but a Flagship Event centered around Fontaine's Film Festival will take place. An online concert and a character album will be released to cap off 2023.
Genshin Impact held its regularly scheduled Special Program Announcement, where the developers presented the main highlights of Version 4.3 and provided details on the upcoming online concert. Titled "Roses and Muskets," Version 4.3 will be the last Genshin Impact update in 2023, capping off another successful year for the gacha game. With Version 4.2 concluding Fontaine's Archon Quests, Version 4.3 will instead focus on implementing several quality-of-life changes to Genshin Impact.
The method of farming and leveling up Artifacts in Genshin Impact has gotten unwieldy over the years, from needing to dash across a Domain to start an encounter, to being restricted to consuming just seven Artifacts on the enhancement menu. Players should be happy to know that Version 4.3 will remove these inconveniences, as well as add an Artifact filter to streamline the process. Expeditions will also be receiving some love, as Genshin Impact players will be able to claim rewards and re-send characters with just one click.

Genshin Impact Version 4.3 Introducing Navia and Chevreuse
However, the spotlight in Version 4.3 belongs to its new characters. As featured in the trailer, the fan-favorite Navia will finally join the roster as a 5-Star Geo Claymore. She will be accompanied by Ayaka in the first half of Version 4.3's Limited Event Banners, while Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya will headline the second half. Chevreuse, a 4-Star Pyro Polearm with an Overload focus, will also feature on the Raiden and Yoimiya banners.
In terms of narrative, Version 4.3 will not continue the main story in Genshin Impact, and will instead feature a Flagship Event centered around Fontaine's Film Festival, which will have Yoimiya and the Kamisato siblings in key roles as visitors from Inazuma. Navia will also receive her first Story Quest in Version 4.3, while the playable area will instead get an expansion in Version 4.4 with Chenyu Vale. Genius Invokation TCG and the Serenitea Pot will both receive a Fontaine glow-up, including underwater housing for the latter.
To cap off 2023, HoYoverse will host an online concert on December 22 called "Melodies of an Endless Journey," lasting approximately 60 minutes, and featuring 25 tracks from all 5 nations. The concert has an official website, and Genshin Impact players will be able to use it to access the stream. In addition to the concert, HoYoverse will also debut the fourth character album "The Stellar Moments," which will finally release themes from Genshin Impact's character demos from Version 3.3 up to Version 4.2. While Genshin Impact did not win the Players' Voice award at The Game Awards 2023, HoYoverse will reward players with 800 Primogems from December 9 to December 12, thanking them for their dedication and support.
