Genshin Impact has revealed an interesting chart showing the revenue difference between its two currently featured five-star characters, Varesa and Xianyun. With the pool of playable characters constantly expanding with each new update, double banners have become standard in Genshin Impact.
This gacha mechanic allows players to pull for two different five-star characters at the same time, sharing the same pity and four-star lineup. As usual, each Limited Character Banner lasts approximately three weeks, meaning players still have around 15 days to acquire Varesa and Xianyun, as well as the new four-star character, Iansan.
Genshin Impact Leaks Major Details About New Cryo and Dendro Elemental Reaction
A Genshin Impact leak reveals details about a new Cryo and Dendro elemental reaction that is expected to arrive in the upcoming 5.6 update.
A credible Genshin Impact stats website, Paimon.moe, has revealed the banner sales difference between the Electro catalyst user Varesa and Liyue's Anemo support Xianyun. According to the data, Genshin Impact's new Natlan character Varesa is responsible for over 71% of the sales, which is not a big surprise considering she's the only new five-star character in this update. Varesa belongs to the Collective of Plenty, one of the main tribes in the Natlan region. Regarding her role on the battlefield, she is almost exclusively used as a main DPS, specializing in dealing damage with her Plunging Attack. Her reliance on Plunging Attacks is likely the main reason she was released alongside Xianyun, who is considered the best support for PA DPS units.
Genshin Impact: Should You Pull for Varesa or Xianyun?
Overall, fans don't seem too happy with Varesa's kit, with most complaints mentioning its lack of flexibility. Aside from being centered around Plunging Attacks, Varesa also relies on having Nightsoul users in her team composition. The Nightsoul system is exclusive to Natlan characters in Genshin Impact, meaning players who have yet to acquire a character from the Pyro nation cannot use Varesa to her full potential. Nonetheless, Varesa is still regarded as one of the most fun characters to play, especially for exploring the overworld.
Before her official arrival in update 4.4, Varesa's banner colleague Xianyun was one of the most anticipated characters in the game. Back when the game was released, Xianyun appeared in her crane form and was known by her adeptus name, Cloud Retainer. Xianyun is considered an S-tier support in Genshin Impact who can fit into many different team compositions. To maximize both characters' potential, players should pull for their signature weapons, which are currently featured on the Limited Weapon Banner.
HoYoverse has confirmed that the second banner will also feature two powerful characters: the Anemo Archon Venti and Natlan's Geo support, Xilonen. Venti will likely be the last Archon to appear on a banner for a while, considering that the four previous updates all featured a Genshin Impact Archon.
