Tianqiu Valley is in the southwestern part of Liyue in Teyvat. It is located west of Luhua Pool and southwest of the road leading to Jueyun Karst. Players will come across three towers in the area that are each a piece of the Tianqiu Valley. Each of these towers contains a puzzle that will give players the prisms needed to unlock the mystery. Players will need a variety of Genshin Impact characters for their party to be successful.
Updated October 16, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: Liyue is the oldest region in Genshin Impact along with Mondstadt, so it can be nostalgic if players who have progressed far into Fontaine revisit the area. Among the quests available in Liyue, Trails in Tianqiu was one of the most problematic, especially for new players. The mission locks people out of co-op, so the entire thing has to be done alone, and it can be tough as the quest involves battle challenges and tricky puzzles. To help aid Travelers in unlocking the secret of Tianqiu Valley in the Trails in Tianqiu quest, this article has been updated to include better visual cues.
Trails In Tianqiu Quest In Genshin Impact
To trigger the Trails In Tianqiu quest in Genshin Impact, head to Tianqiu Valley, which is west of the Pyro Regisvine boss in Liyue. There will be a small statue surrounded by a platform with three holes in the floor. This is where the prisms (Light Actuator) will go once the puzzles are all completed. Interact with the gravestone-looking tablet right off of that platform to start the quest.
There are three towers clustered around a central point, and these are the towers that players need to explore to complete the quest. There is no set order players need to follow.

After each tower is completed, grab the Light Actuator off of the pedestal and head back to the platform outside to store the prism. Once all Light Actuators are in place, several Treasure Hoarders will spawn around the center platform. Beat all the enemies to get three Luxurious Chests in Genshin Impact.
The Northern Tower
The first setup is easy, and it doesn't matter how players light the torches up. They can do the short torch and then the taller one or vice versa. The second torch puzzle in Trials in Tianqiu quest in Genshin Impact is the hardest of the three. Face the Luxurious Chest from the bottom of the star, then hit in this order:
- Bottom-left torch
- Bottom-right
- Top point
- Bottom-left
- Top-right
- Top-left
- Bottom-left
For the final torch puzzle, simply hit both torches on each side. Players can do it from any side, but make sure to light up both torches every time.
The Western Tower
Players must climb to the top to clear the west tower. Travelers can get creative with the methods and use characters like 
Venti, 
Zhongli, 
Kaedehara Kazuha, 
Wanderer, 
Keqing, and so on, but the F2P way to do it is by utilizing Geo Traveler. Head to the Liyue Statue of the Seven to Resonate with Geo, then return and use the Genshin Impact Traveler's Geo construct to create a way to the top.
The Southern Tower
Players will want to build their best possible Genshin Impact team for this puzzle. This fighting puzzle is very straightforward but requires a little bit of speed, good combat, and powerful strategy to get it done. Every floor has an Infusion Stone that enhances the enemy's power, so make sure to destroy it first if the fight is too hard. Additionally, players can fill up their Energy so that they can use Elemental Burst faster to ease the battle.
