HoYoverse's action MMO Genshin Impact has many great sitting spots spread across the open-world areas, and one player has discovered a particularly unique one in Sumeru. Genshin Impact players have discovered countless things hidden around the world of Teyvat such as chests, cats, achievements, animations, and now an impressive sitting Sumeru sitting spot.
A Reddit user has garnered 5,800 upvotes for their Genshin Impact upload that highlights one of the most panoramic viewpoints in Sumeru that has a sitting spot that isn't immediately recognizable. Similar to other modern multiplayer games with central hubs like World of Warcraft or New World, there are many places in Genshin Impact where the player may sit as their in-game character to absorb their surroundings or mingle with others. Genshin Impact players may find these on logs, rocks, benches, chairs, ledges, and stumps, each of which offers varying qualities of views, but the one in the aforementioned video may be Sumeru's best.
Reddit user Thegrayyernaut regularly makes Genshin Impact posts, and a recent clip shows their Cryo character Kamisato Ayaka stumbling across a unique sitting spot that differs from many of the others around Teyvat. Their Genshin Impact video begins with the player standing near a Sumeru cliff side which they highlight is near Vimara Village using the map. The map shows the player's character represented by an arrow that's to the southwest of Vimara Village, and southeast from Pardis Dhyai on a mountaintop that has a wooden bridge extending from it which fans can launch off of using their gliders or wings.
Returning to gameplay, Thegrayyernaut walks across the wooden bridge to reveal an impressive sitting spot at the end of it that allows the player to look across a large portion of Sumeru. The character has to reach the complete end of the bridge in order to access the spot which may suggest that a large portion of the Genshin Impact community hasn't seen it yet given how close to the edge it is. Sitting on a wooden plank facing the Genshin Impact Avidya Forest with a big drop underneath it, the player moves the camera to show that the view from this sitting spot is nearly 360 degrees except for a small grassy mound behind them and the top of a tree to the side.
Because of how panoramic the Genshin Impact Sumeru sitting spot highlighted by Thegrayyernaut is, some players may use it as their main point of relaxation, socializing, or creating impressive screenshots. Given how close to the edge this spot is, a player could quickly go from resting to soaring across Sumeru from the unique viewpoint spotlighted by Thegrayyernaut's clip.
Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
