Genshin Impact: How to Get Storm Beads

In Genshin Impact's new update 2.1, players have the option to wish for two characters: Kujou Sara and the Raiden Shogun Baal. Along with new characters, though, comes with a new list of ascention materials and talent materials that players will have to collect in order to level up not only their new team, but also their weapons. One of the new ascention materials needed for both Sara and Baal is the Storm Bead.

Storm Beads are tiny, crackling pearls left behind after defeating a Thunder Manifestation. In order to level either Sara or Raiden to their highest possible level, players will need 46 of these rare gems. Along with these, players with either Baal or Kujou Sara will need to farm the ascention material Vajrada Amethysts. Thankfully, players can get both of these items from the same source.

What is a Thunder Manifestation?

A Thunder Manifestation is one of the new bosses players can fight now that the Genshin Impact update 2.1 is out. This update added this Electro boss battle as well as a Hydro Hypostasis, and both are located on the new islands of Inazuma. The Thunder Manfestation is sort of an Electro version of the Oceanid; the creature doesn't have the Oceanid's intellgence and is described in the game as "an elemental being driven by pure regret."

This Electro boss is found on the new Inazuma island called Watatsumi Island which is located to the southeast of the rest of the islands. Players can get there by hitching a ride on a Waverider from a nearby Waverider point; there is no need to complete the story quest that introduces players to the new islands beforehand.

How to Beat a Thunder Manifestation in Genshin Impact

Since the Thunder Manifestation is made of pure electric energy, it is immune to Electro attacks. It also flies, which means players will need some excellent ranged Pyro and Cryo characters in order to safely bring this boss down. This creature is fast, so players always need to be ready for one of its many attacks and its ability to teleport anywhere on the field. It has several AoE-type attacks that cover a small area an deal out electro damage to anyone standing in range. Leveling and equiping the Tiara of Thunder artifact will help to reduce this damage. Genshin Impact teams might also benefit from a good shield user for this fight as well.
