With the many characters available in Genshin Impact, it's no surprise that double banners continue to become available. In version 4.1, players have two powerful Charged Attack units, Hu Tao and Neuvillette, while in Genshin Impact 4.2, two powerful healers and buffers are featured at the same time.
The two units are Furina and Baizhu in Genshin Impact. Naturally, as a pretend-Archon, Furina has far more demand compared to the doctor of Liyue, but those who care about the technical part of the game would know that deciding between the two characters isn't so easy since each has an area they greatly excel in.

Furina Or Baizhu In Genshin Impact?
Furina and Baizhu are very different when it comes to their mechanics in Genshin Impact. Furina excels at both damage dealing and is a decent healer, but she's not exactly a dedicated healer/shielder support like Baizhu. Baizhu can also buff in areas where Furina can't, so when choosing between Furina or Baizhu in Genshin Impact, players need to know which unit excels where.
Weapons
Both Furina and Baizhu scale with HP when dealing damage or healing their allies. In Furina’s case, she relies more on Crit, which makes her more P2W. Her best Sword is the Splendor of Tranquil Waters, which has Crit DMG as Sub-stat. She then works well with weapons like Primordial Jade Cutter, Mistsplitter Reforged, and Haran Geppaku Futsu because of the amount of damage they can add to her kit. She still performs well with F2P options like Festering Desire, but players have to make up for her lost Crit.
However, Baizhu is the complete opposite; everything about his kit relies on HP, from his healing, and shielding, down to his buffs. The more HP players grant Baizhu, the better he performs. His fourth Ascension, which is arguably his best ability, literally scales with his HP. So for that, weapons like Jadefall's Splendor, Everlasting Moonglow, Prototype Amber, and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers are amazing options for him.
So, when it comes to weapons, Furina has more options, but she relies more on P2W weapons. As for Baizhu, he has fewer options, but players won’t miss out on too much when using F2P weapons.
Artifacts
Both characters are different when it comes to choosing their best artifacts. For Furina, there’s no set that comes close to how good 4-Golden Troupe is. The artifact grants her up to 70% extra Elemental Skill damage, which is where most of her damage comes from.
As for Baizhu, he doesn’t have a certain set he jams with. His best set relies more on what kind of team he’s in. If he’s in a Hyperbloom team in Genshin Impact, then giving him 4-Deepwood Memories is going to significantly increase the team’s Hyperbloom damage. If he was paired with Electro units to enhance their Aggravate reaction, it’s better to use 4-Noblesse Oblige. Those who wish to maximize his healing or shield can also opt for HP and Healing Bonus artifacts.
In conclusion, when it comes to artifacts, Furina always relies on the 4-Golden Troupe, while Baizhu is more flexible with the options.
Role
Operating off-field is a common playstyle for both Furina and Baizhu in Genshin Impact. Furina is more of a Sub-DPS where she doesn’t have much time on the field but can still deal so much damage. She also offers an insane buff that boosts all kinds of damage except Transformative Reactions. This makes Furina viable in all team comps but the ones that heavily rely on Reactions like Electro-Charged, Swirl, Burning, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon.
On the other hand, Baizhu operates less as a damage dealer and more as a decent healer and a shielder who also offers an insane buff to his team. However, Baizhu fits more where Furina fails to buff, and is able to notably increase Dendro Transformative reactions in Genshin Impact, such as Bloom, Burning, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon.
So, in terms of roles, Furina is a flexible unit that can fit in almost any team comp that’s missing a Hydro Sub-DPS/buffer, while Baizhu is more of a unique character who fits in certain Dendro-reliant teams.
