Search in the Algae Sea is a Quest in Genshin Impact that revolves around some figures of the Narzissenkreuz Ordo. To trigger this mission, players must first bring the three characters into the Narzissenkreuz Ordo. To do so, complete Ann's quest in Annapausis, Seymour's in Merusea Village, and Caterpillar's mission in the Fortress of Meropide.
Once all three people are back in the Narzissenkreuz Ordo, the Search in the Algae Sea Quest in Genshin Impact will start automatically.

The Search in the Algae Sea is a Genshin Impact World Quest where players need to assist Caterpillar in his investigation. In order to fill in the investigation’s gaps and recover Ann's lost memories, Travelers will play two Association Games during the quest.
Association Game #1
To successfully brainstorm a bit and find a breakthrough, players should:
- Interpret every option until they’re no longer blue.
- Associate The Oceanid Ann… and There are Oceanids in Annapausis…
- Interpret Is Not Ann.
- Associate The “Mary-Ann” in Annapausis… and There are Oceanids in Annapausis…
- Interpret The enigmatic “Mary-Ann”…
- Submit Conclusion The enigmatic “Mary-Ann”…
Travelers will then make their way to Annapausis to meet "Mary-Ann" but will fail because she rejects their answers. Afterward, everyone will return to Narzissenkreuz Ordo to talk about “Marry-Ann” and contemplate the answers to the second Association Game.
