Genshin Impact’s new updates introduced Inazuma with the complexity of their clans and commissions. One of these commissions is the Yashiro. Out of all the things handled by the Yashiro Commission, the Shuumatsuban is one of them. This organization answers to the head of the Kamisato Clan, Ayato, where the Ninjas would carry out duties revolving around espionage and assassination. Of course, such a dangerous organization is not public knowledge. Little is known about how they operate, or who the members are.
However, one character is way too eccentric to miss. This Shuumatsuban Ninja is Sayu, a small person that wields the Greatsword (Claymore), and owns an Anemo Vision. Even though Sayu usually works solo, on the battlefield, the little Ninja can bring great utility with these Genshin Impact characters.
8 Ganyu
Ganyu is currently the best Cryo DPS in Genshin Impact. Her damage mostly comes from her Frostflake Arrows, generated by her Charged Attack. For characters that rely on Elemental damage, an Anemo support with 4-Viridescent Venerer is a major boost to their damage.
Since Sayu is an Anemo character, this artifact set is perfect for her. She can easily do off-field Swirl, allowing Ganyu to enjoy the resistance reduction on enemies. Sayu's Elemental Burst is fixed on one area, but this is no issue because Ganyu's Elemental Skill can taunt the enemies, keeping them in the Ninja's AoE.
7 Rosaria
Cryo characters are known for their ability to function without Critical Rate. With 4-Blizzard Strayer, Freeze composition, and Cryo Resonance, they will have a 55% free Critical Rate. With the base 5%, this sums up to 60% Critical Rate. However, for these bonuses to take effect, the enemies have to be affected by Cryo.
Rosaria has an amazing off-field Elemental Burst that continuously deals Cryo damage. With Sayu, the Little Ninja can Swirl the Cryo, spreading the Element to the surrounding enemies.
6 Ayaka
Kamisato Ayaka was one of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact because she was first shown on the Closed Beta Test. After release, her skills don't differ too greatly from her CBT.
Like Rosaria, Ayaka has amazing off-field Burst damage.
However, unlike the Nun, Ayaka can also self-infuse her Normal Attack with Cryo. With 4-Viridescent Venerer on Sayu, the Kamisato Princess will deal significantly more damage. Furthermore, if Sayu is built on full Elemental Mastery, the little Ninja will deal great damage when her Elemental Burst is active.
5 Mona
Similar to Ganyu, Mona's Elemental Skill also taunts the enemies. But the real reason why she's a good pair with Sayu is the Permanent Freeze Team. This composition can be done by combining Mona + Sayu and two Cryo characters.
For example, the combination of Mona + Sayu + Ganyu + Rosaria will practically let Ganyu play with a free 95% Critical Rate:
- 5% base Critical Rate
- 40% from Blizzard Strayer
- 15% with Cryo Resonance
- 15% from Rosaria's Passive
- 20% from Ganyu's Passive
With this composition, players can fully focus on Ganyu's Critical damage.
4 Venti
Before the release of the newest enemies, Venti was the best Crowd Control in Genshin Impact. Even though he's less viable now, he remains the best support against smaller enemies.
Sayu has an excellent Elemental Burst that offers both defense and offense. Unfortunately, it comes at a heavy price. Her Burst requires 80 energy to be used.
With Venti, he can provide many Elemental Particles via his Tap Skill. This will greatly help Sayu regain her energy back. Furthermore, the combination of Venti + Sayu will trigger the Anemo Resonance. This reduces the team's Elemental Burst and Skill cooldown by 5%.
3 Kaeya and Xiangling
Kaeya and Xiangling is mostly a Meme build for Beyblade Sayu. When players hold Sayu's Elemental Skill, she will continuously roll, attacking the enemies. The fun part of this is if there's any off-field Skill active, Sayu will bring them along with her.
Both Kaeya and Xiangling have an off-field Elemental Burst. So when Sayu is rolling, the Ninja will keep hitting the enemies with both damage types. Not only that, but Sayu will also continuously trigger Swirl, creating chaos on the battlefield.
While this is fun in terms of gameplay, it's not a very effective method, DPS-wise.
2 Raiden Shogun
Raiden Shogun is an amazing Sub-DPS. Her Elemental Skill deals periodical (off-field) AoE damage, and provides a buff for the team's Elemental Burst. The two units will complement each other, where Raiden Shogun will buff Sayu's Elemental Burst damage while Sayu will reduce the enemies' Electro Resistance.
In addition, the Electro Archon will also recharge Sayu's Elemental Burst when Raiden is attacking the enemies with her Musou Isshin. This will allow the Shuumatsuban Ninja to play without Energy Recharge.
1 Yoimiya
When Travelers arrive in Inazuma, Yoimiya has one of the brightest personalities they will encounter. The Fireworks Shop Owner was released as an awkward Sub-DPS.
Yoimiya infuses her arrows with Pyro when her Elemental Skill is active. She deals great damage in this phase, but she's practically useless when her Elemental Skill is down. Unlike Hu Tao, Yoimiya has a far longer Elemental Skill cooldown, making her an impractical Main DPS and Sub-DPS. Furthermore, the Summer Queen is also unreliable as a Burst support. When she casts her Burst, the only way it will deal damage is if one of her teammates attacks the affected enemy.
Sayu can help with Yoimiya's issues. First, the Ninja will increase Yoimiya's DPS. Second, Sayu's off-field Elemental Burst will trigger the Firework Queen's awkward Burst.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
