Summary
- Neuvillette brings in over 70% of the revenue for Genshin Impact due to his first re-run.
- Spiral Abyss charts show Neuvillette's power as many players clear floors with him alone.
- Zhongli's revenue is below 30%, possibly because he's an older character and players already have him.
A Genshin Impact chart has revealed the revenue difference between the two currently featured characters, Neuvillette and Zhongli. With the pool of playable characters constantly expanding, Genshin Impact has made the double banner a standard practice in every update. This gacha mechanic allows players to pull for two limited five-star characters at the same time, with a shared pity number.
The banner also shares the same four-star lineup. On most of these double banners, Genshin Impact usually pairs a new five-star unit with a re-run character. However, from time to time, a banner includes two older characters. This usually happens when the game introduces only one five-star unit per update, as was the case with Version 5.2.
Genshin Impact has a gacha system, which means that the main source of revenue for this free-to-play game is its playable characters. The ongoing Phase 2 of update 5.2 features two very powerful characters, both story-wise and on the field: Fontaine's Hydro Dragon Neuvillette and the Geo Archon Zhongli. A credible stats website named Paimon.moe has revealed the sales difference between these two characters. According to the data, Neuvillette is responsible for over 70% of the total sales, which does not come as a big surprise since this is his first re-run. Since his arrival, Genshin Impact's Neuvillette has been one of the most powerful Hydro characters in the game.
Genshin Impact Chart Shows Zhongli and Neuvillette Revenue Difference
Neuvillette's power has also been demonstrated in multiple Spiral Abyss charts, which revealed that many players beat all 12 floors of the Abyss with only Neuvillette on their team. This Hydro character has a unique kit that revolves around his special Charged Attack, which makes him fire a powerful Hydro beam that deals tons of AoE damage. Lore-wise, Neuvillette is rumored to be even stronger than Genshin Impact's Hydro Archon herself.
The main reason Zhongli's sales amount to under 30% is probably that he's one of the oldest characters in the roster and many players already have him. Despite being released back in 2020, Zhongli is widely regarded as one of, if not the best Geo users in Genshin Impact. His supportive powers as a Geo character can only be matched by the recently released Xilonen.
Genshin Impact will continue its pattern of featuring Archons on the limited banner in every update after a new major region arrives. HoYoverse's recent announcements have confirmed that the upcoming Genshin Impact Version 5.3 will include the long-awaited Pyro Archon Mavuika, who is scheduled to appear on the same banner as Citlali.
