Exploring Chenyu Vale will lead to discovering many ruined areas in Genshin Impact. Luckily for players, these areas can be fixed using a bit of the adeptal energy bestowed upon them by Fujin.
The method is straightforward, you need to grab the ruins pieces lying around and place them in their correct position and orientation. Some pieces may be hidden behind a challenge or a small puzzle in Genshin Impact so don’t be discouraged if not all pieces are in plain sight. Completing all seven ruins puzzles in Chenyu Vale will grant players the Good As New achievement in Genshin Impact.

All Ruined Areas Location And How To Fix Them In Genshin Impact
Seven ruined areas need fixing in Genshin Impact and all of them can be found in Chenyu Vale. The process can be done in any order, so players don’t have to follow a certain pattern.
Some ruin pieces must be placed from the correct angle, so players must know where to stand to get the result they want.
Ruined Area #1
Head northwest of Qiaoying Village to find the first ruined area. Defeat the Treasure Hoarders then follow these steps:
- Go east to grab an arch using adeptal energy.
- Place it on the top-right square.
- Grab the broken pillar near the statue.
- Place it on the top-left platform.
- Pick up the statue near the stairs.
- Put it on the bottom-right pedestal.
- Pick up the statue sitting on the top bench.
- Place it on the bottom-left platform.
Defeat the Mitachurl in Genshin Impact and claim the Luxurious Chest.
Ruined Area #2
Fast travel to Mt. Lingmeng's central waypoint and glide north to arrive at the second location:
- Go west and grab the statue.
- Place it on the bench across the stairs.
- Head west again and pick up the arch.
- Walk up the stairs and approach the locked Exquisite Chest, then turn around. This will put you at the correct angle to put the arch.
- Place the arch to unlock the chest.
Ruined Area #3
Go east of Yaodie Valley to reach the third area. Defeat the Treasure Hoarders in Genshin Impact then complete the following steps to fix the ruined area:
- Grab the statue from the Treasure Hoarders’ camp.
- Put it on the square platform in the middle of the ruined area, near the table.
- Head northwest and grab a pillar.
- Place it on the nearby corner square.
- Go east and pick up a destroyed wall.
- Walk towards the lamp and turn around to put it on the nearby pedestal.
- Go southeast and grab the remaining destroyed wall.
- Head east towards the first pillar; jump over the remaining square then turn around.
- Put the destroyed wall on the final platform to complete the puzzle.
Ruined Area #4
Now head west of Yaodie Valley to arrive at the fourth ruined area. Defeat the Hilichurls in Genshin Impact to grab the statue and then follow these steps to fix the area:
- Head north toward the top floor of the ruins.
- Place the statue in the central square.
- Go northeast to get a destroyed wall.
- Head to the square platform found southeast.
- Walk to the small cliff in front of it and turn around.
- Place the destroyed wall.
- Turn south to pick up another destroyed wall.
- Put it on the remaining square.
Once the puzzle is complete in Genshin Impact, defeat the newly spawned enemies to open the chest.
Ruined Area #5
Keep going west from the previous location to find the fifth area. To open the chest and fix the area, complete these steps:
- Go northeast to pick up a destroyed pillar.
- Place it on the nearby square to open the gate.
- Pick up a pillar from inside the gate.
- Put the pillar on the eastern platform.
- Grab the first destroyed pillar and put it on the northeastern pedestal, up the stairs.
- Head inside the second gate to get the arch piece.
- Run north up the first set of stairs and turn around.
- Place the arch on the bottom platform.
- Grab the pillar and put it on the middle square, near the base of the second stairs.
- Get the smallest ruin piece and put it on top, near the diffuser.
Get the Fragrant Wood in Genshin Impact then open the Precious Chest.
Ruined Area #6
Travel to the Chizhang Wall Statue of the Seven and head south to the nearby ruins. Kill the Ruin Sentinels to begin fixing the area:
- Go northeast to a puddle of water and pick up and arch.
- Run southwest and place it on the platform at the top of the stairs, near the Precious Chest.
- Go back to the sleeping Automaton in Genshin Impact and interact with it to start a fight.
- Defeat the enemy and grab the destroyed pillar from beneath it.
- Place it on the middle square, near the base of the second stairs.
- Head southeast, down the stairs, and start a timed challenge to access the cell containing the final pillar.
- Pick it up and put it on the remaining square.
Pick up another Fragrant Wood and open the chest.

Ruined Area #7
For the final ruined area, teleport to the waypoint west of Jademouth then travel south. Defeat the Hilichurls then follow these steps:
- Grab the pillar and place it on the western square platform.
- Go northwest to grab an arch.
- Descend the stairs, then turn around.
- Place the arch next to the pillar.
After fixing the final ruined area, the Good as New Achievement will be rewarded in Genshin Impact. Additionally, players can use the newly spawned Golden Carp’s Leap to get one more chest as a reward.
